Oh yes!! I think he was slightly in awe in their first scene together (when LC charges in like a dashing hero on her horse) and then at that amazing Cuju game where she changed the tide for Tang.. And yes I agree with you; he was a goner from the grasslands..
I saw in one of the interviews where Wu Lei says that he (AS) was in torment when he shot arrow at LC and the heat on the sets helped in a lot while emoting the scene. He also says that that is when AS realises that all this fighting is not worthwhile as he only wants to protect the ones he wants to protect (the regret he feels after shooting LC (although he deliberately missed) and he shares his worries with Mujin while looking at Shou State from afar)..

(I think this was the context of the conversation when cutely scratches his head, please correct me if I am wrong..) So it got me thinking.. does our WL also have the same feeling for DD as AS has for LC?? I hope so!! (hopeful Bird Egg here!)

So AS falls for LC once he finds out she is a woman.. But I feel he falls hard for her in Ep 6 when she 'oh so gracefully' falls into his arms after the rooftop scene.. We can see his inner musings in Ep 7 13 mins into the episode.. When he thinks 'she knows the art of war, is good at strategy and is not afraid of death'. He is then flustered and uncertain whether to approach her (he cutely puts his hands behind his ears and scratches his head (bird egg notice coming below**)).. He then finally approaches her and we have the lovely bridge scene..

My take on when Ashille Sun falls for our Li Changge..

I think he fell for her as soon as he realised she is a woman and drank with her, but he fell harder for her after the rooftop scene (when she so gracefully falls in his arms). In episode 7; 13 mins into the episode we get to see AS musing about LC. He says 'she knows the art of war, is good at strategy and is not afraid of death' (all the while they show us the flashes of our lovely LC. And then he adorably puts his hand behind his ear and scratches his head (a bird egg notice coming below*) and is confused whether to approach her or no.. Then after a bit of uncertainty he goes and knocks on her door. Then we have the beautiful bridge scene where 'oh so fine' leads bond a bit more..

Hi everyone!! I am a huge fan of the series TLB and have been following the comments section since we reached 27K. I tried to reply; write many times but since I was accessing it through my phone the page invariably lagged and hanged. Now I have finally decided to join the comments bandwagon (albeit a little late).. I must say TLB for me has been like a breath of fresh air, a warm hug and a comfortable blanket, an exciting series to watch and a lovable friend to keep revisiting.. And you guys have been my constant source of virtual friendship (although we have never met or chatted); but I find you all the same as me and I love it!

And lets not forget how they interrupt our cute main couple with their stupid relationship problems and whining.. ughh. Let us enjoy some precious MK and XKL time please!

Spot on! MK and XKL are perfect together.. The writers could have done away with the evil female(in this case evil leeches as you brilliantly coined it) vying for the ML trope.. But if they are showing through this arc that the lead couple do not get affected and in fact their bond becomes stronger then I don't mind putting up with it..

I actually like the fact that she is so mature and chill.. A far cry from the regular cliche 'helpless, dumb' female lead mold.. She is refreshing, independent, witty, ambitious and career oriented..

I totally agree with both your points! I hate the fact that the second lead couple are taking away soooo much screen time from the main leads and its not even like their story arc is interesting. Utter snooze fest.
Secondly why dint Chief Shao strip Yanshan of her award after knowing the despicable act she committed and preaching about being a kind doctor?!

I absolutely love the chemistry between Bai Jing Ting and Sandra Ma. They are adorable to watch!
However is it just me or does the second lead couple get on your nerves? I skipped their parts; found their story line so annoying. Why would she keep running behind and pestering the SML?! Wasn’t she portrayed as a ‘strong independent’ woman?

I agree with you! The situation with Jia Sicheng was too vague, his change in character too sudden. Plus why did he hate Qin Shen so much? I wish they had extended this drama to 30 episodes and given us more depth of this situation and ofcourse more cute fluffy QS YQ scenarios. A wedding scene and kids in the future would be the cherry on the cake :)..
