Yes, they do NOT treat horses properly in Cdramas, and it's across the board. Honestly, it makes me wonder how…
I remember reading news stories about Zhao Lusi's mental health and how her agency and/or someone on the set of one of the shows mistreated her (I don't think it was WRTW), so I'm guessing China has lots of work to do on its labor laws and animal rights laws. I don't know enough. I hope they can do better though, I love these shows.
She is horrid, but the king really pissed me off forcing Lanxi to drink Grief and basically this whole time knowing that his wife and third son are constantly plotting against Lanxi, but #FAMILY and #APPEARANCES are more important than Lanxi's life ig. And Yu just... I'm sure he's about to get much worse over the course of the show lol I'm on ep 33 now.
I'm on ep 28 right now. The antagonists in this show are SO ANNOYINGLY WELL-WRITTEN. I'm not sure who I hate most. Ju bb, Yongzhou Daddy, Bitch Stepmom 2nd Lady, or Mr. Yu πππππ I'm gonna be so upset if the Tianshuang sect gets wiped out wtf
ππ¦ TFW I saw this drama back when it was the ONLY live action adaptation... I don't think I could rewatch and experience it in the same way. Loved it. My very first drama! But ye, we've come a long way.
ep9 "Are you forcing me to punish two of my sons?!" Guys, WHAT is the king's problem?? He JUST asked who the lead was and then he's ready to punish Lanxi for giving him the information?!?! SMH
Apart from the horse tripping in ep 1, I am enjoying this more than I thought I would. I cracked up at the introduction of Yu Wuyuan just because... I mean, he's gonna stop an army with one sentence? Really? Now after 7 eps, I get the concept of the Four Gentlemen (teehee, ML being 2 of those!) Also, I've been **trying to avoid spoilers** but I am a little suspicious of Mr. Yu! (βΰ²°_β’Μ) He SEEMS harmless... but he's giving me secret villain vibes...
