I think the implication is the heart scale saved that part of his soul and is nurturing him for rebirth, yeah. It was bittersweet, but I felt like the implication was he would eventually come back. And yeah, the novel shows wayyy more of that, and all LSS and their daughter do to reunite with him.
As often happens with these kind of dramas, the second central part of the series suffers from lack of fluidity…

I just watched 2 eps of Till the end of the moon out of curiosity, I don't know if I'm emotionally prepared for…
I haven't seen Goodbye My Princess, but I heard it's similar level of devastation. When the Moon Hatched is on my to-read list :) Till the End of the Moon is... well, it's a beautiful drama, and you will probably not be the same after watching it. I hope you enjoy it!!

Yeah, in my heart Veil of Shadows is a 10/10 but I do objectively see its flaws. I think I gave it a 7 or 8. Edward Guo's shows tend to be wild, plot-wise 😂

Oh, ok. I was gonna say... I hated her character in Fangs of Fortune, but then I saw her in Till the End of the Moon and Veil of Shadows. I feel like she has a good handle on portraying naive/stubborn FLs and calculating types as well. This is in response to your impression that she was acting like she had no experience. Did you like Veil of Shadows?
