No. You said "to be cast as 20 YO high schooler is a stretch". It would be a bigger stretch to have a 20 something playing as a 30 something, people in their 30s have more life experience. Your comment just read like you want to early retire an older actress for being in her 30s and I felt compelled to comment, sorry if I misunderstood.
I didn't expect to love this as much as I do, especially given some of the comments. I actually love the ML. People seem to be missing the point that he doesn't WANT to become a True God and has intentionally not been acting that way since the beginning, so of course he is weak. Even A'Yin criticized him for this early on, how he did not take cultivation seriously.
Anyway, I'm loving it. I love Zhao Lusi in this role. Li Yun Rui is AWESOME as Hong Yi.
Maybe it helps that I did not watch ALP first. I saw MM first! And tbh, I loved MM but I think I'm enjoying this even more? I prefer A'Yin's character over Bai Shuo...
Even though this drama feels a little drawn out, I'm still enjoying it. The tender moments between Chu Li and Zhou Chuan are so coooozy. It's not the kind of show I want to binge, but rather cherishing it an episode at a time. It is comforting somehow, like spending time with old friends. 😊😊🌷 I have 10 more eps to go.
Ok, spoiler tag please but does this have a BE? or BE followed by HE or OE? I assume from part of the opening that she will go back to her time period buuuuut ML was obviously in ep 1 when they went to pray to the ancestors, FL followed him and time travelled. Please don't give me too much info, just lmk if it is a straight-up BE or no 😭🙏
Oh yeahhh, that's true. She annoyingly pushes him in the wrong direction though :( Mocking him for his loyalty and feelings just a bit. I know she's jealous but he really needed someone to talk him down lol
