Basically they have to tone down all the ML interaction to the point acceptable for the censorship bureau. The biggest hurdle in the adaptation is not the ML interactions cause the story itself is really big and complex, easy to make it into fast plot drama. But how to pass the censorship when "rebirth" is not allowed. I say the script writer is excellent is evading this. All I can say, all the big points in the novel is being filmed, but whether it passed review, we don't know.

U worry too much, the big reason of MR obsession wt SM will be revealed quite early in drama, like eps 8 or do, in the novel it is towards the end. The other role change is the Ghost King changed to Ghost Queen, since this Ghost King/Queen wants to wed CWN hahaha….there u go that’s why it was changed to Queen and not King otherwise not passing Censorship…

SM a woman is the only way HYX can get adapted in China. But no ML in China ends up with Villain (it won’t pass review) so that’s your assurance that MR is not in love in SM. The reason for his obsession wt SM is revealed much later in the book, but earlier in drama. Producer mentioned, pp going to hate MR otherwise….both BL fans and reg pp if they was not shown in front what happened that trigger his obsession with SM.

HYX passed censorship in Q1 2021, EF has not. Obviously, all BL element in HYX , EF or any BL adaptation in China has become "light bromance"
HYX itself without the BL elements is an amazing Xianxia story, it's complexities are compare-able to Lord of the ring or GOT.....U'll understand when u finish reading all the book. But if you r reading the official translation novel, there should be ttl 7-8 books. So book 1 is really too early in the game. But when u finish them all, u know why this is the most commented un air drama in MDL.

HYX should air this year....My prediction will be between Mid May to September, or Nov-Dec. EF...need to wait for license, it is the last one that completed the filming.

My understanding CY old comp is CFY agency. TS ent, which is producing good drama and CFY is the most famous one. But CFY just joined the company 1-2 yrs ago. I heard LYX agency bought sev IP, so it's possible for both to work as ML/FL. Yes she is the 1st sister. LYX C fans are not aggressive, most of them are working prof and not high schooler. They get along fine with all his F co stars except for one, TTEOTM, but because he was attacked big time on hot search for 2 days and that continue for years so now there is no turning back. As long as he is not being attacked badly, fans are generally fine.

haha U better give me a RJL drama suggestion that does not have the same expression. It's like I can figure out his acting expression like 1-5 and not more than that. Well when compares with those in this video, face not there, acting not there, dubbing is worst....But yeah still getting good project here and there...Imo he is the same as Dylan W....supported by capital without strength. Yeah me too, recently many high budget dramas have really really bad acting and even worst supporting actor acting. Compares to 4-5 years ago, acting is getting worst.

Good action and adventure: Sword Snow Stride, Joy of Life
Detective and adventure, no action: Under the microscope
Action and detective: Louyang.
Action and adventure: Blood of Youth (but this one is rather low budget, good plot, acting not as strong as the above mentioned)

All the above except for BoY ML actor has strong acting skill, no dubbing, high budget and good script.

Will be 100.000 in less than 24 hours when it actually air....and will take the crown back as most commented drama in MDL.....

Most probably it should be LYX himself whom introduced CY to join the sm company. means he wants to help her. LYX agency is Tiny and hopeless, honestly I also don't know why CY decided to join this company.
LYX is relying on himself to get project not the agency, so in other words CY now only relying on LYX to get her projects. Abt hate, unfortunately she'll get much more hate as SM in HYX. Having CY as support actress means stable acting skill, she looks good in costume too. Not like so many new dramas these days that just have HORRIBLE can not act support actor/actress....these newbie make me cringe each time with their acting.....

Turn out he was already arrested 9 months ago, so Tencent should have taken care of it, no worry. None of his work is affected anyway so far. Also he is not dubbing anyone in HYX just director work, so removing his credit is all they have to do.
