Song Yi is not bad not great either, she is suitable for costume rather than modern. I watched sev of her dramas. But at least, it won't be like ATWIL FL acting. I think her acting range is similar to yang mi/reba, that range...but she can dub herself pretty well.

When you have Qiyi CEO put his name as producer on a drama, he wants to make sure that he is not a laughing stock among Tencent & Youku Execs. This scream quality.....and lately it is Qiyi who dominates the market share of C drama in 2022-2023

Even ATWIL was bad, it ended up with 3.2 Billions views, the whole times audience just watching LYX and ignore the plot hahaha.

Yeah, me too....no fluttering ones. However I saw the team conf, it's pretty strong. Producer: The founder and CEO of QIyi himself...that should scream quality or he will be a laughing stock.
LYX has worked 3x wt the Director : LIS director, Producer comp : LIS + L2L, Art director: TTOETM, Costume: same as LIS, L2L also 3rd times collabs, the art director of L of Anle. So not bad.
I think not a bad idea to see him in diff costume....Anle also tang, belt not under the belly.

I hope I'm like that, or maybe the news of 2 LYX costume filming this year has an affect of me waiting for HYX....maybe ...maybe after all what I really truly waiting for is LYX costume...period. The more costume on stock, the calmer I'm......

Not sure why pp changed Ashes of Love title and mix it up for TTEOTM. But if you have not watch AOL, this together with Eternal Love are the classic of C Xianxia drama.
TTOETM ML actor played in AOL (as Runyu) and it was deemed as one of the most memorable character in the past decade by C Gov Newspaper.

Optimistic that one day we will see HYX in 2023. However after waiting 3 yrs, being clowned endless times, multiple issues came up preventing HYX airing.
I think I reach a point where I'm actually not going to be as excited as before when HYX airs, I think I'll be really calm, the feeling it's more I'm tired of waiting and just want to watch to get it over with.

HYX will air without CP promotion at all, I prefer it that way, safer for the artist. But now I'm optimistic it will air this year.

That’s why many BL drama were filmed. This Immortality drama has the largest investment and the best team, also the actors are deemed perfect cast by Novel readers. The anticipation is huge for this drama.
But China fandom are over the top with constant fights between fans, spending time to do data & tons of $ for their idol to buy their music, magazines and endorsement. Let’s say things went too far in 2020 (fans bought tons of milk then paid pp to dispose them in the gutter, actor guilty of underage r*pe, etc etc) that let the Gov took actions in restricting so many things in C ent industry, and this inc BL drama. BL actor CP fans are also famous of being the crazy type….

So there go you, however this year BL seems able to air, finger cross. But it must air without CP marketing, actor not allowed to promote, low profile airing….
For us that’s fine, we have been waiting for this drama forever…..

ROI wise for the producer, they are lucky if they can get their investment back, esp this drama cost abt US$43M. The actors have been paid in full.
