They did changed the order and story quite a bit to make sure it fits the 2 worlds universe for the drama.....and with crazy MTL translation.....I get very confused with all the characters and additional characters that are not in the novel......(many of those too)

Correction: Producer not director saw fans made video (Lyx Runyu as CWN, Leo Wu as MR) and immediately bought the IP and contacted both actors. Both refused, took producer long time to convince LYX to play. Leo Wu refused and took Long Ballard (same Tencent project). Good thing cause CFY is better as MR than Leo Wu.

These are true, I was worried when I saw 58 eps...what water plot do they add?. We already have extra stories for 2nd Leads, even more stories for other supporting actors. As long as it does not deviate from the original 40 solid script too much TTOETM plot is excellent.
I'm relieved when I saw 50 eps. Yes some of those script eps are impossible to be fit into 1 ep.....

There are sev fanmade version, infacts the origin of HYX is because producer saw a fan made video of the novel then decided to buy the IP then tried to cast the same actors as the fan made ones.
Since now we get both parts approved to air, before TTOETM air, Youku pls gives us a proper Int. Apps that we can watch on TV and not just by screen mirroring or Viki Please pick this up It will be sad if I have to watch TTOETM on ipad.
BTW I think all rumor airing in Dec can't happened. Youku said in their investment conference, this is 2023 drama....
