Everyone is different, I like it, the novel plot has ample of darkness, angst, betrayal, twist and turn and a big antihero ML. But novel also has plot hole and makes it feels segmented and not fluid. Drama storyline will be an enhanced version, more coherent, each character has a lot of foreshadowing. Iām not a fan of simple fluffy love story, I like complex big arch development character and storyline.
Question, why are BL dramas banned in china? Do they not allow same sex relationships in china?
Under current President, China is becoming more conservative in everything, accumulations of crazy and extreme fans behavior and some actors going too far.

Jin Chen & Chen Kun both v good. I like Zu Yi Long, Huang Xuan, Steven Zhang, Zhang Ruo Yun, Zhou Yi Wei all of them terrific actors, only ZYL is beautiful, others are not but acting + original lines are great. Along with LYX these actors are the best. Their costume plays: Sword Snow Stride, Louyang, Rebel Princess, Joy of Life. SSS, RP, JoL all actors are very strong in acting, based on who you like, I think these actors will blow you away. Steven Zhang mostly modern. ZYL only plays movie now, just won Chinese Oscar last week. I also prefer costume, only a watch a few modern drama, mostly for LYX.
