If u r comparing wt GOT/HOD production quality inc sounds I don't think in 10 yrs C drama will come close to GOT quality. For one too many eps second too $ oriented. But China has sev actors who are really good in acting (this of course inc tailoring his voices for diff characters), ML here is one of those actors. Sadly I can't say the same for actress, in C costume drama I have not seen mind blowing actress acting . There are a few good ones but never one that blow me away.

This drama def all dubbed in studio, if only ML original voice, FL using VA onset recording not possible. Very few C drama with all leads using original voice and they are good. So far I only see Ashes of Love, Joy of Life, Rebel Princess. Other cases can be all original voice like Louyang, ML voice and acting is amazing but FL voice was really bad.

U mean LCR? Abt LCR I think because it is tribute gov drama and the focus is diff pp chasing lights they need to show all 3 CPs even the annoying MM friends. LYX needs to film more costumes drama.....

The facts that we get no trailer till now means they are not giving us till last minutes compares to IS. If CNY is possible I'm happy, the earlier the better, safer.....My fear is Youku waits till summer vacation.....who knows what can happen in between?

In C modern drama if u have proper actors some are recorded on set and some portions are re dubbed when the environment is too noisy. I know this is the case wt Light Chaser Rescues, all actors incl all supporting actors are original voice and u can differentiate between recorded on set or redubbed.

In Costume that's hardly the case, everything is re dubbed. They say too many pp on the set for costumes, for ex TTOETM ttl personnels are 800 people.

But I heard Immortality was supposed to be recorded on set because both MLs have good lines, but then some parts are dubbed when it is too noisy. Too bad don't know when it will air. TTOETM is the same producer & team as immortality, but since FL is dubbed here, I think everything is redubbed on the studio.

His voice is perfect for Moran....and he is so young and already dub himself....that's a real actor not what I call half actor (for those who use dubbing for whatever excuse there is)......

Imo, You should wait till all the books come out, if you read them in batches then you should re read them again from book 1 till finish. After a few months u might forget little details that comes out again in later chapters.

I watched old BTS either with Jacky Chan/Andy lau talking abt filming process. Many HKG Actors just recite number because many script changes and they are dubbed after. The reasons is cost saving. This practice is also done in China early on. There are sev articles wt older actors/producer talking abt this.
The one not sure is whether these older famous actors later dub themselves or using VA?

Yeah, Cantonese and mandarin are v different, while I understand mandarin more and more, I can understand only a few Cantonese words, despite I like going to HKG hahaha…..

Since the original script is a solid 40 eps they extended to 58 and now back to 50, it should be better . Anyway the 2nd part should be just the immortal world which does not need to many eps.

Lof Anle has not gotten distribution license ???? if that the case, TTOETM might air first, usually takes 1 month for investment promotion, if they start now.....It is possible we get it by CNY...assuming CGI is done or almost done......

Agree wt you 100%. All excuses, as far as I know this only in China. Started in HKG because it is cheaper and faster, but then actors got lazy, filmed and go make more $ in VS or another drama without dubbing their own role. In the past was worst, they only recite 1-2-3-4-5.

With the new reg, these idol actors need to spend time learning dubbing. But next year will be filled wt bad dubbing from these half actors.

We will see more actors using original voice due to new C reg: Actor must pay VA fees if they are unwilling to dub or producer think their voices not good enough (bfr it is producer who paid). But that comes with double traps as most C actors did not spend time to learn dubbing properly esp for Costume.
Here ML is his own voice, and LYX not only amazing in his dubbing skill but also his voice is beautiful and magnetic
