I like that they did that with the SFL. Instead of her fawning over the ML till the last episode. They have finally given a SFL a functioning brain for once
SML to me is just blind. She clearly doesn’t like him and the fake boyfriend thing is also pointless to me
Annoyingly I have to saw I enjoyed this drama although I’m now needing meds for anger issues.
Firstly GangJu best ML I have watched for some years now. A true green glad man. Never put a foot wrong really. His whole character was well written (can’t say the same for the rest of the show) and acted to perfection.
The chemistry between the two leads was really good. I thought it would be underwhelming but their acting and romantic chemistry was fun to watch.
DaRim was also a fun character. She started off by being annoying and selfish but grew into a nice young woman. The acting was also amazing especially the parts of the series where she was blind.
ChaRim was a grade A gold digger but weirdly grew on me as the series went on. Charging from money hungry to just a normal woman wanting love and financial stability. Grew on me and I have to say one of my favourite characters behind GangJu and DaRim.
TaeUng was and still is annoying even though he was magically nice for the last few episodes. Getting involved in things he should have had no involvement in. Still not sure why he is able to be a director of a company considering he has no qualifications or actual skill.
Ji Seung Don (Chairman) was a despicable character, but have to mention how he learnt he loved GangJu during the last two episodes. But doesn’t wipe away all the grief he gave GangJu for completing and extra diploma with his own money. The character felt too stuck up and poorly written. Kudos to the actor though.
Ko Bong Hui (DaRims mother) terrible example for her children and others around her. Stealing money for her daughter’s surgery, that’s something I understand but the need to keep 10,000,000 hidden under the bed wasn’t necessary or smart. Just an annoying character who was stuck on a high horse for far too long in this drama.
Baek Ji Yeon was a good mother, at times, and her character was really fun and entertaining but near the end she strayed off too much for me. “Disowning” her son for trying to protect both families and his GF was too much for me. Especially when in episode 35 he protected her and she drove off. Yes he said to leave but as a mother surely you’d try to help. You’re in a car, just run them over??? Either way I love her character for most of the series.
Grandparents are just plain dumbasses really. Old and senile is the right term. Felt no remorse when they went to prison I can’t lie. Acting all sad but were happy to flaunt the money privately when the opportunity arrised.
Lee Mu Rim was a character I just felt pity for really. Terrible mother who made him love the job he loved because of her greed. Now resides to washing clothes and ironing for a living which is sad considering he was a smart and component detective. Glad he had a happy ending though and his wife (Song SuJi) is understanding.
Lee Mi Yeon can just do one I couldn’t care less about the character.
Yun Mi Ok was a terrible mother in law and police leader really. Not much more to say. Redeemed herself in the end though with the speech to DaRims mother.
Gi Dong was just a man who is heavily confused and easy to lead on. Fun and loyal character though.
Have to add about the sentencing scenes. ONLY A YEAR IN PRISON??? The not guilty for GangJu, DaRim and ChaRim makes sense as they didn’t do anything wrong but Ko Bong Hui and the grandparents stole the moment lead as day and used it for the surgery which is fine but used other stuff for personal use but the judge gave them leeway for no real reason. Pissed me off
Good drama though I would recommend if you have patience. Just watch for the leads.

Bullied her when she was younger due to her father sleeping with a lot of the woman in the village. They also bullied the ML for his mother’s antics also and due to the fact he was chubby.
They had a good group of friends though. All five of them together were bullied I believe

Last few minutes she really wanted him. Eating one another faces.
I get what you mean but she has resentment for her father and the ML mother so she’s confused which is fine considering her brother died due to their incompetence.
This drama is good. Comments saying it boring I can understand but to me it’s a MELODRAMATIC DRAMA not going to be at full steam all the time as then it wouldn’t be fun to watch.
The FL is slowly healing which is fun to watch for me. The slow realisation of what has been happening to her and how she’s been acting. Example being that she told the ML if he would be able to abandon his mother and she regretted it and went back to him which was a change from other scenes of her antics and rudeness.
The FL father was someone I sort of liked due to him wanting the leads together. But after this episode I honesty hate the man. Abandoning your pregnant wife to search for your mistresses scammer is wild to me. Then your daughter has to see her mother covered in blood and practically watch her baby brother die in front of her.
The ML character is also having good development. Starting to speak his mind and heart which is nice and the fact that he is able to tell the FL what he wants is also a decent change.
His mother once again being a pain in the ass. If she died it would be much easier to watch I can’t lie. Then the leads could be happy in all honesty. The ML mother judging the FL although she’s a scammer and will sleep with anyone who moves for a bit of money is ironic.
Would love the ML to just fall apart and scream at everyone about all that has happened over the years can’t imagine the pain he has to endure due to his family being this scummy.
For me at this point the SML is just annoying and surely he knows he has no chance. She only calls him director and not his name, surely that’s a big clue in the fact she doesn’t like him. FL calls SML to ask how her friends are but ignores her and makes it about himself so no actual reason. Luckily the large round porter is stopping him every time he tries to go near the FL room which is funny and sweet as he wants the leads to be together.
The SFL is nice and doesn’t seem like it’ll be SLS considering she is pushing the leads together. When she was drunk telling the ML to go and tell her that it’s fake and he likes her. A sweet girl I have to say.
The ending scene though was amazing though. The tension with the ice cream and built up hornyness was fun to watch. And the kiss was real!!! Not a weird touch lips for a few seconds kiss. A full on kissing scene which obviously ends up with some coitus considering she started to straddle him and he was getting handsy (don’t blame him).
Guessing they’ll start a FWB situation or like exclusive fwb type thing. Then moving to actual dating towards episode 11-12
The preview confuses me though. The ML looking sad while she feeds the SML. But also guess the ML goes to Seoul with her.

A sad but necessary episode to help the main leads heal and fall in love once again.
Her pain can’t be ignored of course but telling the man you clearly like and still love that you hate the site of him is a terrible thing to say, she regrets saying it but shouldn’t have said it to begin with. He’s the only man who supported and loved her during the hardest part of her life. I know she didn’t ask him to wait for her for over a decade but he did because that’s how deep his love of for her which is sweet and wholesme.
The ML character is amazing and understanding. As soon as he heard that the FL needed help he jumped into action to ensure her work would pan out and continue on schedule.
Really want the FL to just crash out and scream non stop at his good for nothing mother. She’s a pain and a terrible human being for what she has done to her son. The same goes for his father.
The SFL is cute and kind but oblivious to the ML feelings. Wouldn’t it be obvious that he doesn’t like you considering he has no emotions when he’s around you other than the odd “well done”. ML is like a zombie around the SFL and his mother, he’s drained of all emotion as he clearly only sees SFL as a friend and coworker. SFL and ML being congratulated for being together although they haven’t even spoken about it or confessed etc, makes no sense to me.
The SML was annoying in this episode. For me some of the annoying parts being:
Saying the FL is basically family already when he asked the big man to stay on the family floor. Like come on mate you hardly know her.
He told the FL “I’ll let you do what you want”. Pretty sure it wasn’t up to you anyway but I get what he’s trying to say but still is weird to me.

Seemed like he took most of the credit for getting the country men and women to sign the forms in order to change the Beef Festival location when we know it was the ML who spent the day trying to persuade them to change their minds, even giving up valuable business in order to do it. Just rubbed me the wrong way.
The misunderstandings aren’t really misunderstanding and I’m glad they don’t last long as they might be angry at one another but always come and talk about their problems head on which I like about the leads.
Really love the drama though. It’s different but also feels familiar in some way.
