She looks exactly like Kim Junmyeon/Suho. I can't stop seeing it now, they even have the same eyebrows and same smile 😭 Can't BELIEVE they're not siblings

Watched this for Jinhyuk in my post-Miss Night & Day slump. He was so good in this, but I found so much of this drama so cheesy that I skipped like 50% of the scenes lol. It reminded me why I don't usually watch romance dramas.

This was a pretty decent drama. As for the ratings less than 7 feels too biased. The acting , storyline , script…
Absolutely agree that this wasn't meant to be a romance-focused drama. That's probably also why the romance was written kind of sloppily. Full of tropes despite having such a unique premise. It's too bad it was advertised mostly as a romcom, so that threw people off I think! And the 2 mains had amazing chemistry so it was such a waste to not give them more romantic scenes. But for what the drama is, it's really enjoyable.

I think the 2nd couple would be better if they put more time into it. They had the her blind thinking he was Ko…
It's honestly like the writer just decided in the last few episodes that she needed a 2nd couple and didn't bother to go back and adjust the other episodes to fit it. Because why all of a sudden was Byeongdeok's marriage a lie? So weird,

It was a great watch for me, I liked this more than my sweet mobster (personally) I know there shouldn't be a…
Also did not like the 2nd couple. I literally skipped their scenes every time. It just didn't make sense! First I thought it was a joke bc she was only attracted to him when she couldn't see him properly, but then they actually ran with it? There wasn't even a real explanation as to why she suddenly had a real crush on him...

I really expected to be disappointed by this last episode, but I loved it??? I feel like it finally got to the heart of what this whole story was about and that made it so much more meaningful. And I think the time jump was absolutely appropriate. Haven't felt this emotional at the end of a drama in a LONG LONG time! Ugh, I can't believe I loved this so much. What a perfect ending.

I actually liked the love declaration, but it did kind of fall a bit flat when you realize how little he knows of her. Someone else here said Mijin treats him like a crush while he's a bit more serious about it, and the more I think about it, I agree. But they're both such great actors with such amazing chemistry, it's really too bad the romance wasn't written very convincingly. And I can't believe they missed out on doing a proper kiss. I really hope we get one good one this weekend.

This is NOT a comment I expected to see here, but I'm happy I did?? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I've really enjoyed him in this role, though, he's done a great job. I've only seen him in a bit part in Work Later, Drink Now lol

This weekend's episodes were so disappointing. I thought for sure Jiwoong would find out Mijin's secret this weekend, since they're finally together and there're only 2 episodes left after today, but they're STILL dragging it out?? What for? Tbh it makes their relationship seem so shallow because he only knows half of her.

And what's with it being so heavy on the murder plot? This drama was advertised so hard as a fantasy romcom, but the rom and com and fantasy elements so often fall to the wayside in favor of this murder plot (that isn't even a super original murder mystery tbh). They could've done some really fun and unique stuff with this show, but every time I think it's doing great, it turns around into something like this.

But honestly, I could almost put up with the disjointedness of the plot IF our ML had found out the secret way earlier. Dragging it out like this is just going to make the ending rushed and unbelievable. How is he supposed to find out, get over her lying to him, and help her stop the murderer AND figure out how to break her curse all in two episodes??? What's going on with this writing.

Also, if anyone else is like me and disappointed about the lack of romance, it's super upsetting for us because it looks like they actually cut a bunch of kiss scenes. Probably in favor of this murder plot. I'm so annoyed.

No idea! Lol she just always does it. Which is weird since she basically revolutionized the kdrama kiss back in her first drama. But I'm crossing my fingers for this one, because Choi Jinhyuk has a lot of good kiss scenes in other stuff so it would be a waste to not use him

I noticed a lot of people are suspicious of the mean ahjumma from the senior interns, and now I kind of have a theory. Not a fully thought-out one, but something that's weird is that the actress is only 50, and yet she's playing a character who's supposedly older than Im Soon/Lim Sun (whose actress is older than her). But the thing is, that lady keeps making such a big deal about being old, and Soon is so young, etc., that I wonder if she's actually the intern who's lying about who she is? And maybe she is actually younger than she says she is, and that's why they casted such a young actress?

just saying.. it wouldnt have hurt anyone if that kiss would have been a bit more pasionate.
Unfortunately, Eunji (FL) is the queen of chaste kisses 😭 I'm hoping for more passionate kisses later (bc apparently there will be a lot more kissing) but she kind of said in an interview the kisses won't be that hot, plus she hasn't done a deep kiss scene since 2012, so... I'm hoping she comes through for us, though lol

This is one of my issues with the show and I also think why a lot of people got the 2nd lead syndrome last week…
Yeah, it's weird they haven't had him figure it out already. I thought the backpack thing would be the beginning of him being suspicious, but even after all the times he's found Mijin in the same place as the older one, and has never seen them together at the same time, it's weird he wouldn't have at least any suspicion. Even in the most recent episode, when he noticed the older one had the same cuts as Mijin, they literally just glossed over it when she gave a lame excuse. It's weird they made the idol guy figure it out first, when he wasn't even the one who had seen the most coincidences. So why would he care that much?

You're right how their relationship at work is strictly professional. Practically the only time we see any of her feelings bleeding into her older self, it's when she's mad at him. Tbh I find the scenes at work (when they're not comedic) a little boring because we hardly see anything of the real Mijin and her feelings for Jiwoong. I see that public services building and I'm like, here we go, another scene just to move the drug/murder plot along. I think that's also why, until eps 11 and 12, the tone felt so dissonant between the romance and the murder thing. Because it felt like two separate stories.

Hopefully with things kind of weaving together now, and the romance moving along, it'll feel a little less disjointed. Hopefully he finds out her secret soon, so the office scenes will seem more connected.

I agree with everything. I keep wondering why I still can't understand why exactly the two leads are in love with each other, and you explained it perfectly. Because he's seeing her as two different people, and only likes/is attracted to one of them. Maybe it's easier for her to have feelings for him because she sees him all the time, and sees different sides of him. But the way it's written just doesn't give enough romantic tension throughout. The problem is also probably because the usual Kdrama romantic tropes (like the slow-mo catch thing when he protected older Mijin from the acid in ep 2) don't really work with that kind of age gap. The ep 2 thing was just awkward. But there are other ways to create romantic tension between him & the older version, if the writer wasn't so dependent on those tropes.

It would've even been good if like at some points when he's with one or the other, he's like, "This reminds me of something I like about that other person..." to sort of make the two versions of the FL more connected. I really think it's the curse of the typical Kdrama, so the writer can't figure out subtler/different ways of showing romance besides what they're used to.

I'm definitely enjoying the show though, and the chemistry between the two leads when she's younger almost makes up for the lackluster way the romance is written. It's too bad they don't get as much screentime together.

At this point, I am convinced that ML will not know her secret until either a) the finale or b) after the case…
I'm ALSO wondering why he always seems to find her at her parents' house??? The past few eps she's been staying at her friend's almost every night, except for the end of ep 10 when somehow both guys knew to find her at her parents'? It's just so funny

This this this!!! And like, the way he smugly told Jiwoong that he works with Mijin, just to rub it in his face (without Jiwoong knowing) that "Lol I know her better than you~" It's disturbing. I really wanted to like him as a second lead because in the initial trailers it looked like he was just a guy crushing on an older woman. But now it's just weird. Plus, prefacing his confession by telling her to quit her job??? Without even telling her why/that she might be in danger? She obviously doesn't feel the same way, so I hope she doesn't lead him on or anything in the next episode. At this point in the show, I think Mijin's developed more self-respect than to let herself settle for someone who treats her like that.

Tbh, if it weren't for Ko Won's immature behavior, I'd like him & Mijin together, too. It's nice for her to have someone at work who knows her secret and is looking out for her. I kept wondering why they had him find out her secret before her main love interest, but I wonder if they're going to try to take the route where she actually tells Jiwoong instead of him finding out on his own? To kind of show that there's trust between them? Since he's kind of made it clear several times now that he's hurt that she won't trust him enough to share her secrets.

My one frustration is that I'm pretty sure they only added the Ko Won storyline to make the main romance drag out longer. I'm fine with the misunderstandings and weird back-and-forth with Mijin and Jiwoong, because that's what romcoms are for. But the whole Ko Won thing just feels out of nowhere and forced. Maybe it'd be more fun if so much of his plotline wasn't him stalking Mijin & being possessive for no reason. The way it is now, it feels so obvious that he's just a plot device and not really a fleshed-out character with a real story...
