Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
Just the beginning of ep 26 made me feel so bad for his generals yet laugh so hard at the flurry of activity.…
That scene was so chaotic. The fake Marquis was really sweating because the whole script changed on him and the other generals were like, "we cannot make the princess get on her knees, someone come help us," and as of queue, Counselor Gongsun walks in. I laughed so hard because everyone was just trying to help her because she was their ladyship.

That battle scene of FCY fighting against Shi Hu or Shi He was epic. The cinematography on that scene was phenomenal. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of cinematic scenes, but that battle on the battlefield was beautifully shot. It shows how great of a general FCY can be. She singlehandedly defeated the enemy with just her butcher knives, winning the battle.

Ok, so either Jin Yuanbao likes Chang Yu or is feeding info to the enemy (maybe both) but he's acting very sus
It’s more like admiration for her. Remember that she beat him more than once. I don’t think it’s a crush, more like fangirling over her.

i will say i was a little disappointed by how xie zheng didnt beat up prince yuan qing to the extent that i would…
I agree! He almost beat up that Guo guy or the other butcher guy for drugging CY and only stopped when she told him to stop but he didn’t do the same to the psychopath prince. But then again, it’s understandable why he didn’t. I mean, I guess he needed the prince alive.

However, I am satisfied with all of the slapping that he removed from CY before so I guess it makes up for it.

As I wait for the eps to release, I am rewatching some of the episodes and I am not going to lie, Madam Song’s death was somewhat satisfying. She’s just an overall bully who took advantage of the Fan family’s kindness so her death was karma.

Granny Kang’s death, to me, was sad. I feel that she redeemed herself and she died protecting her grandson and Chang Ning. The magistrate’s daughter’s death was also sad. She died protecting Chang Yu.

Everyone else in Lin’an’s death was so unnecessary and painful. All because of a psychopath prince.

Whenever I see Deng Kai on screen being a crazy psychopath, I keep thinking that Ding Yu Xi can play a villain and look as handsome and crazy as Deng Kai — since they look similar.

How does she still not understand that he has a way higher position than being just a being a normal soldier?…
It’s mostly because she doesn’t know that he is the Marquis of Wu’an. From the previews, she won’t find out until later on. At this point of time, she only knows that he’s in the army. Remember that even the other soldiers don’t know how the Marquis of Wu’an looks like.

You need to also take into account that her parents didn’t take her out from Lin’an town. She spends her entire life “sheltered”. And I believe, she’s also somewhat illiterate, so I wouldn’t expect her to know much.

As a Season 1 enthusiast, I didn't like Season 2.They "idol-fied" the drama too much. The ML turned into…
I agree. The charm from season 1 is missing and it’s really disappointing because it’s the same director, screenwriter and everything. It almost felt like a new crew has taken over.

As for the ML being all smiley, I’m okay with that but I do miss his aloofness. I wished he would only smile like that for the FL lead.

As for the FL, I really hate that she became a regular noblewoman. I wished they kept her quirkiness and “country bumpkin” charm. To me, that was why the ML fell in love with her in the first place.

Don’t get me wrong, i understand that it’s been three years and she is now the Commandry Princess Consort, but I wished they kept her charm. I feel like we only saw that side of her when her brother is around.

As for the villains, it was too obvious that it was the second Prince. I wished they made it more mysterious especially since they kept talking about the “Peacock”. If they were going to make it so obvious, then follow S1’s villain.

The rating on this one was low for me too. 6-6.5 at best.

Just finished up to ep 24, and I am going to just say this. As much as I loved Commandery Prince An, Chu Chu, Vice Minister Jing Yi, and Leng Yue — I feel like season 2 lacks the charm that season 1 holds. I was a little disappointed because I really loved season 1 and I had high hope for season 2.

Don’t get me wrong, I like season 2… it just didn’t wow me.

I wanted more mystery. I wanted more guessing.

Right off the bat, I already knew that there was something off about the Second Prince. He was super fishy and everyone was already guessing that he was Peacock.

I wasn’t surprised when it turns out that he is peacock.

I guess I’ll go back and watch season 1 again after I finish season 2. Need to get my 4 musketeers fix.

King of Nanzhao: How's the Peacock operation progressing?Guard of Nanzhao's Eldest Prince: Peacock has taken over…
I agree with you. I am suspicious of him my self. I came here to say the same thing. After seeing him, I thought he is Peacock. But like others have said, it’s too soon to say, even though he’s oddly suspicious.

I completely understand that people don't like ZX, that's your right, and given his behavior, it's understandable…
I agree. I don't necessarily hate him, I just feel bad for him. I feel that because of his family situation vs hers, he feels inferior to her and therefore, thought that he can clear up any misunderstandings between them when they're both in Shanghai because by then, he should be able to stand by her as an "equal." But he lost that chance.

He reminds me of her father — they both feel inferior to the women that they "love."

The true villain (in my eyes) is Ye Rong. She knew how Zhuang Xu feels about her, but she thinks that he will always pick her. Of course, he feels obligated too because of his mom, but she was just bad. She was the one who lied to Xiguang from the start.

I have read that if she stayed with Zhuang Xu, she'll end up like her mother, and I agree with that.

She probably thought something bad had happened to him and was worried, which is why she was angry that he didn’t…
Actually, I would disagree with you. Most people will be relieved, but they will also show anger. It's normal. Think about it this way, she searched for him and then she sees his snowboard and the nurse is telling her the worse case possible. Her emotions are already high. Then she sees him alive and well, but didn't receive a call or text from him telling her that he's okay. She's not really mad at him, she's relieved, but pride got in the way and she's mad at him.

I understand Tong Shuang and why he became Yesha. But I’m not going to lie when I say that it’s a disappointment in his entire reasoning. I get that he is trying to avenge the people of Haiya, but shouldn’t he kill himself first? I mean, the Haiya situation started because of his father.

If Bei Hai did not seek fame and created the pill, do you think the chaos of Haiya would have existed?! Bei Hai was the root cause of the what happened in Haiya. Granted, the actions of everyone else after that helped escalated the situation, but I feel that Bei Hai took the coward way out and let everyone else take the fall.

Also, Miao Jie was involved with the slaying of the innocent, so he can’t claim that it is for the good of the people of Haiya.

I do agree with XBM when he asked TS about the orphans of Haiya — they are all innocent and they turned to being killers because of a vendetta that should have been questioned.

I feel like Miao Jie didn’t tell the entire truth to the orphans. I don’t know what was said, but I feel like he left out the part that he played in or the part about Bei Hai.

Whatever the reason, it is sad overall. Many innocent people died at the hands of Yesha and what happened in Haiya.

I believe that there is always two options: you can either take the situation you are in and become a good person or you can take that and become evil. And that’s what TS did.

I believe that if it was reversed, I don’t think XBM would turn evil at all. He was on the run for 3 years and not once did he resort to evil. He may not have suffered at the hands of Madam Tong, but he did suffer nonetheless.

Many people suffered and yet, they never turned evil, so that excuse that TS used is nothing but an excuse for what he did.

And like XBM said, he had plenty of chances to stop but he didn’t.

I just feel bad for the people who came to treat him like family. That was the ultimate betrayal.

The Li family did not do right by Yang Xian! I really liked this drama until the last 4 episodes, but that whole…
Yes, I agree. It was a 360 turn of events for them. I mean, he was Madam Li's most favored son in law and she stood up for him just to treat less than because he lost everything. I thought that when she took them in, she was going to nice to him, but nope, she let them treat him that way. And yes, Madam Li always talks about marrying son in law into her family and this was her chance. Her chance to have Yang Xian marry into the family and guided him. But nope, because of her own selfishness, she did that. I mean, NONE of them deserved his kindness.

I get it, he wrong them first, but she did tell them to forgive him and then she goes and throws all of that away because he's poor?

I am definitely biased towards Wang Xing Yue and I find all of the couples endearing, but I love 4th sister and Lord Shen’s relationship the best. Yes, he was cold to her, but he learned to love her and he didn’t scheme against her either. Of course, he made a mistake by thinking that she wants flowers and jewelries (which is the fault of his brother in laws), but he realized that she only wanted him and therefore he was able to win her heart without any scheming. I would also say that she didn’t scheme against him either.

I’m actually interested in 5th daughter’s marriage because Yang Xian, who is not my favorite at the moment, have a funny relationship. She stripped him on their very first meeting and then he made her begged him, and lastly, she beat him up.

He is the first son in law to learn how to submit to the Li daughters on their wedding night. Lol.

I don't get why they didn't get the before casting to season 2 as well. I was so excited for the previous actors…
Because this is not a season 2. This is a stand alone drama based on the donghua. I don’t know why it’s advertised as season 2 when it’s not. Many people have already explained it.

No, but in ep 8 when Guyi met with the psychiatrist and Leyla, why the heck Daiwen was there and he heard all…
She is not his patient but having LDW there was to show him that she does indeed like him as a partner and if he doesn’t want to be with her or cannot be with her, he needs to let her know. If you watched that part closely, he warned LDW that he should let her know that they can’t be together or something. Remember that LDW cannot feel any emotions and being with him is emotionally draining for the other person. So to me, by having him there and listening on, it lets him know how she feels. Everyone can see that she likes him but him.
