How dumb is the emperor and dowager? Why would you marry your war hero brother to the princess of an enemy kingdom.…
I think they kind of went over why they did what they did. He was supposed to be the emperor but he made a deal with the dowager and didn’t ascend the throne. By making him marry his enemies’ daughters, they can control him.

The dowager stated that the emperor doesn’t trust him and he, himself, also stated that the emperor doesn’t trust him that’s why he’s keeping the pregnancy a secret because he knows that if the emperor finds out, he will keep SKY and baby hostage in the palace.

Princesses are supposed elegant and kind right? Why are all princesses in Chinese dramas so obsessive and mean? Smh. This one beats all of the mean ones by a mile.

She’s so obsessive to the point that she was willing to sacrifice someone who cared about her, kill an innocent old man, hurt an unborn child, and the person that the person she is obsessing over loves the most.

She’s pretty but her heart is ugly! Hopefully Prince Jin is smart enough to know that it wasn’t Steward Yi but his so call princess who did all of these.

Also, what I don’t understand is why can’t the emperor and empress dowager leave Prince Jin alone?! He didn’t ascend the throne so just let him be happy. Sheesh.

Now, I want to know if SKY is hiding the real Jade pendant since she had a fake one made.

If I’m not mistaken the first time they slept together was in ep 11.
We can assume that he lied since he was embarrassed.

So she's pregnant, guess I missed the bed scene
It was ep 11 when they first slept together. She complained to Lady Yunying about it and he denied it even though we can assume that something happened.

Can our princess get a break?! Got me crying for her. Everyone wants her dead. All she wants is to be with her nanny. She can’t get a break at all.

Love Zhang Miao Yi. She reminds me of a young Ariel Lin. She is doing an amazing job in this drama. I am used to seeing her as a higher schooler, but she is doing a fine job with this. Kind of wish they left her hair down but either way, she’s beautiful.

As everyone stated, the two comical duo is back. I was surprised to see them together since Tiger and Rose. They are still as funny as ever.

Well, not going to lie, I did not see that plot twist coming. Who knew that the assassin who is trying to kill the prince is a princess and now that she’s infiltrated the prince’s mansion, I hope that Prince Jin is smart enough to see through her evilness.

Papa Shen is one evil dude. First his illegitimate daughter, then his legitimate daughter, and now his wife. This dude is so ambitious that he was willing to throw anyone under the bus for success. He is by far the worst father and husband in all of drama land.

Can’t wait to see how the drama ends. Crossing my fingers that our original prince and princess Jin will live happily ever after with their child.

Wow. Is all I can say. To think that I almost dropped this drama. It was giving me Hotel Del Luna vibes but wasn’t up to par, but the last couple eps, mainly 11,12, and 13, has been amazing. The plot twist was perfect. But it made a lot of sense. It tied up the loose ends and it gave us some unanswered questions. I am so glad that Bom was able to knock some sense into that detective to double check the records. Can’t wait for the next ep. What a cliff hanger.

I am beyond stressed! I mean, why didn’t anyone look in the dog kennel. There is a huge dog kennel and there’s no dog AT ALL! It is getting beyond ridiculous. I am beyond stressed out with this drama! How is it that the villains keep getting away with things? And why are the good guys so damn stupid? They can’t be discreet at all! KSR and her mother is always finding out JDJ and WYH’s plans. Might as well just give your plans to them at this point.

If the writers viewed the comments they’d flip the script to stop glorifying the villains. At least give viewers…
💯 correct! I feel like I’m getting dumber each day I tuned in to watch the drama. I have invested so much time and I’m really debating if I should just drop the drama but I also want to also stick it out and watch it to the end to see what other dumb ideas the writer has for this drama.
On The Third Marriage Apr 3, 2024
Goodness gracious! I am so over this drama. The plot is getting so stupid! This could have been a 20 ep drama! No need for over 100 eps with ridiculous plots. I am on the verge of dropping this drama.

This is one of the most frustrating drama I’ve ever watched. I loved watching 100+ Korean family dramas back in the days, but this one is just infuriating. I mean, how the heck can Kang Se Ran walk out free EVERY SINGLE TIME?! How is that all of the evidence is considered “circumstantial”?! Like what?! Makes no sense. There’s videos, recordings, she even admitted it verbally in the presence of people and yet, it’s not enough?! I’m sorry, what’s considered enough?! Her getting caught red handed?!

Goodness, at this point, I want to drop the drama, but I’ve already committed my time and I want to see Kang Se Ran and the chairman’s downfall. Please, oh, please tell me that it was the chairman who caused the death of Se Ran’s father so that he can buy the factory and please tell me that Noel FINALLY meets her daughter who was next to her all this time. I am getting bored of the whole “missing” each other all the time.

Just started this drama and I’m on ep 80 or something. Someone please tell me that Jung Da Jung and Wang Je Guk’s marriage is fake! I’m still shocked and quite confused as to why she decided to marry him. Also, please tell me if she ends up with Yo Han. I don’t mind spoiler. I’m just annoyed that she would make such a dumb decision.

Loved it! Definitely a show that I can rewatch. Ding Yu Xi did an amazing job as always. Fell in love with him since Tiger and Rose. I have always loved his historical drama over his contemporary ones. The historical look matches him so well. Miles Wei, I was not digging his look at all, but he also did such an amazing job! I hated his character to the end, but he did a damn good job with the character.

The comedic timing/relieve was amazing! I laughed, I cry, I fell in love with Li Bing and the gang. What an awesome crew!

Loved how they ended the drama. The ending, to me, was perfect.

I am enjoying this so far, but I got to ask, is Wei Zhe Ming playing a villian? I also can't get over the fact that he's in a historical drama. The look does not match him AT ALL. I loved all of his modern dramas and looks, but I don't know if it's how they dressed him or something, I can't get over the fact that this handsome man does not look good in historical dramas. LOL.

Wow...

I am not satisfied with the ending at all. I was expecting a Romance of Tiger and Rose ending, but we didn't even get to see Shen Nuo in person!

However, I am satsified with how they ended the game. Uncle Shouren, Aunt Gu and Lian Hua'er deserved everything that they got. They cheated and sold their family members for very little money and they deserve everything that had happened to them. I would even go as far as to say that Xiu'er and the grandma also deserved what happened to Xiu'er. I have no love for them. I may sound heartless, but after everything that they did, that's nothing. Man'er is too nice for me. I'm still fuming that she forgave them and opened her home back to them!! I am glad that everyone (besides the ones mentioned above) got their happy endings.

One of my top favorite c-drama. From the toxicity of the family dynamic, to the corrupt officials, to finding their own happiness. Everything was designed really well. I just wish that they will have more romance. To me, the romance was not really there. It was there, but barely there too.

I love Tian Xi Wei since New Life Begins. She has really good chemistry with her leads. I have watched her other dramas with different leads and I can say that pairing Tian Xi Wei with Joseph Zeng is one of my favorite pairing of hers so far. I really, really, really like her with Wang Xing Yue (First Love) but I will have to bump them to #2. Joseph Zeng really suit her well.

I am halfway through episode 10 and from the first episode until now there is one particular person I really want…
I felt the same way, but for me, there was more than one character that I just want to jump into my screen and slap them back to their senses.

Why am I not surprised that Uncle Shouren sold his sister to the Liu guy? And why am I not surprised that Xiu’er and grandma didn’t believe Man’er? Like, how can you still believe Shouren who had tried to sell Man’er, sold his daughter for his position, stole from the family? How stupid can you be?! Like the saying goes, “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”. He keeps fooling the family and they all act like he has never done anything wrong. I don’t even feel bad that Xiu’er is going to be a concubine. I would even go as far as to say that she deserves it.

As for Shen Nuo, I hope that he’s doing this so that Boss Wu can trust him and bam, he blows the case wide open and they get their land back. 6 episodes left and I’m still trying to figure out what his role is in the drama/game. I am hoping that it’s like Romance of Tiger and Rose where they meet in real life.

Song Hai Long - I feel so bad for him. He married the wrong Lian girl! He was already an outcast in the Song family and now that he’s married to Lian Hua’er, she’s going to cause him to be more ostracized by his family. I hope that he helps Shen Nuo and Man’er with the case.

Lian Hua’er, Lian Hua’er. Don’t you ever learn?! Why can’t you just be content with what you have?! Instead of fighting against Man’er, you should fight against your mother in law so that your husband can be respected in that family. Your scheming ways will only hurt your husband.

The most satisfying scene is when Uncle Shouren got what he deserve -- a beating from the family. Like what Man'er told Hua'er, he has no one else to blame but himself. He should be grateful that the family did not throw him in jail for selling off Man'er in the beginning and for allowing his own daugther manipulate someone else to cause Man'er's mother to lose her unborn child. He has been given grace over and over again.

As for Hua'er, I feel bad for her beacuse of how her family treated her, but not enough to forgive her for all of the scheming that she had done to Man'er and her family. There was no remorse for what she did. If I was her, I would cut ties with her parents. They literally sold her off the the Song family in the name of "marriage" but that was just to buy his position. Smh. How can she still love them after all of that?!

I am so glad that Man'er "bought" Ye'er's freedom from the toxic family. Hopefully Ye'er can make a living and be happy with 13 and selling/making makeup.

Man'er just can't stop being ridiculous, now she's scolding thirteen and acting all self righteous as if she cares…
She's not acting all self-rigteous in that scene. She is hurt because she really thought that he meant everything he said in the restaurant and when Hua'er showed up and said what she said, Man'er seriously thought that he was just saying those words to trick the owner to selling them the restaurant. She was acting along with him until she started thinking back about their time together. And she also remembered what he told her. So, yes, she is scolding 13, but it wasn't because she was self-righteous. She had already fallen for him and she was hurt by what he told her. You need to remember that he left her and then returned and told her that he needed to finish his business so yes, to her, he was just using her to finish his business and he was going to leave. So, she was not being self-righteous. She was just expressing her hurt.

And she does care about people, even her toxic family members. Despite being sold to the Sun family by her uncle, she still saved Hua'er from death. She worked hard to make a living for her family. She took care of her mother when she lost the baby. She did everything she can to split from the family so that her own family can make money because she knows that no matter what, the money that they made will always belong to the family -- when the grandmother and aunt stole her money. She also helped out Shen Nuo and 13 when they were in the Song family. She sold her peanut recipe so that she can pay off the corrupt officials because of her jealous cousin just so that her parents won't have to worry about her. In the recent episodes, she saved Ye'er from her parents and toxic grandmother.

13 was funny in New Life Begins and he is also funny here. It is good to see him playing a funny character again. So, far this resonates with a lot of Asian families. The dynamic of boys vs girls. Oldest son vs younger son. The need to have a son instead of a daughter. I feel like only so far, Man'er's little family does not discriminate by gender, but the other family members do. It's just a sad reality that even in real life, it's the same among many, many, many Asian families.
