Baili Dong Jun blamed her for Ye Dingzhi's demise and I do have to agree. Even though I feel that she didn't deserve to be the one who needed to be sacrificed, but I did feel that she was the cause of it all.

She should have never left in the first place. I honestly do not know if Baili Dong Jun meant the first time or the second time, but she should have never left. Her leaving the palace and going Ye Dingzhi and her leaving Ye Dingzhi and returning to the palace, those two times did play a part in Ye Dingzhi becoming obsessive.

I wasn’t going to comment on this but, after watching 29 episodes, I have come to the conclusion that the emperor is stupid and easily manipulated. I mean, he doesn’t do anything at all and just listen to whatever other people tells him.

He have already let his son have him killed one of his best ally and friend. And now he’s doing the same with Marquis Shenxi.

He is really useless and worthless.

Someone please tell me when they find out that SRQ’s motive? I am tired of LR’s loyalty-ish to him. Like she found out that he possibly killed her in the past, but she’s still cozying it up with him.

Shen Yu Rong, Sheng Yu Rong, Shen Yu Rong. To the bitter end, he was still a coward. I feel so bad for Princess Wanning - to the bitter end, she still loved him. He did not deserve Princess Wanning's love.

I love Joe Chen, but boy, she can pull off playing a villain. I adore her even more now. She's so versatile. I am not used to seeing her play a villain, but I do love her as a villain. I mean, she's evil and scheming, but I love her.

I have been watching interviews of Wu Jin Yan and Wang Xing Yue and I find Wu Jin Yan so pretty in modern clothing. I don't know if it's how they dressed her in this drama but she looks old here compare to Wang Xing Yue, but in the interviews, she looks so young! Which brought me to the rain scene, and I do find her very pretty during that scene.

What is the princess' relationship to the Emperor? Is she the Emperor's sister? I'm still confused as to who she is in relation to all of this.

I don't mind spoiler! Someone spoil it for me. I need to know how the evil schemers meet their end. I hate how the schedule is like this. Can't they just release everything at once?!

Did I say that I love all of the scheming and cunningness of this drama?! I haven’t found a drama like this since Love Like the Galaxy — but even then, it was just Ling Buyi scheming everyone. But this, everyone is trying to outsmart each other. Can’t wait to see who will come up on top!

I am not going to lie, I love how everyone is cunning and scheming! Villains and heroes alike. Everyone is trying to outsmart each other and I am here for that. Can’t wait for Duke Su and Jiang Li/XFF to join hands and work together.

Yes! It’s my first time watching him in any dramas, and I am in awe of his performance. He did an incredible job. His mental breakdown and torment makes it all worthwhile. It shows how killing XFF really got to him. Even the actress that played his sister did an awesome job acting at the Go scene.

I actually like the comedic relief. I feel that after all the anguish, I could have a few funny moments, especially after watching the next few trailers, I know that more anguish is to come.

I am still on ep 9 since the episodes doesn’t get release until 3AM for me so I am taking my time but Joe Chen is something else!

The sweet Joe Chen that I grew up loving is gone. She’s amazing! Her performance is blowing me away! I am here for WXY but I think that I am staying for Joe Chen!

Is it just me or is Duke Su one of the laziest Dukes in dramaland? He’s either drinking tea or just sitting around with his fan even when he’s working. Lol.

I agree with you on everything, especially the age aspect. When she’s standing next to WXY or the younger casts, you can definitely see her age. That was one of my concern. I thought that when she’s back in the capital and is cleaned up, she’ll look younger, but you can still see her age. The age gap doesn’t bother me at all. I am only concerned with how she looks among the younger casts. If she has a baby face like Ariel Lin, then it’ll be believable but she has a mature face so it’s not as convincing to me.

Amazing! This is probably his breakout role! I love him as an actor since First Love, but his historical dramas weren’t it. But this role, this is HIS role. It was made for him. So far, he doesn’t have the most screen time, but when he’s on screen, he stands out.

Oh she’s strong and smart! She understands that the Jiang family doesn’t like Jiang Li so she’s scheming against them by putting up a front. You will see how she deals with them with one blow in ep 5.

Just finished binge watching the first 5 episodes and what can I say!

WXY did an amazing job. As I stated in my comments before, he was outstanding and I didn’t like his other historical dramas due to the story line but this one, if it continues the same way as these first 5 episodes, this will definitely be his breakout role.

FL - she is amazing. I loved her and how strong she is. I hope that she continues to outsmart the Jiang and Shen family. I haven’t seen any of her dramas, but she’s amazing here. My only concern is that when she is standing next to the other young actresses/actors her age shows. I know that she is only 33 but you can tell that she’s older than WXY. But overall, she’s a strong FL.

Joe Chen - I am amazed by her! I grew up watching her and I have always adored her as an actress, but I have always watched her as the innocent and naive girl with lots of love. She plays the evil stepmother so well. I have new profound respect for her. I cannot imagine seeing her without Ming Dao but wow, she blew me away with her performance.

Ai Mi was also amazing. I have always liked her and I do see her having a successful career when she gets older. I cannot wait to see her play a female lead role soon.

YCY - even though was a minor character, she did an amazing job. I have always liked her and she did have a few good dramas but besides Love You 7 Times, she really shined as her part in this drama.

For now, this is a 10/10 for me. I am bad at ffwding dramas that I watch, but so far I didn’t need to.

Wow…is all I can say about this so far! Loved the cinematography. That beginning, was so amazing. I was hooked! I have only watched 2.5 episodes, and I haven’t ffwd it.

I have never seen any of the FL’s work, but I thought that she did an amazing job. My only concern is that you can definitely see her age when she stands next to WXY. But then again, maybe it’s because she’s not cleaned up and stuff so I might have a change of heart after she became Jiang Li.

WXY was AMAZING with his entrance. I loved him in this. Fell in love with him with First Love, and I didn’t like any of his historical dramas and I was wishing for more of them in Amidst A Snowstorm of Love, but boy, he blew me away.

Ai Mi, she’s also amazing as ever. I cannot wait to see her play a main role in the future. She was always my favorite supporting role/ maid. She’s an amazing actress.

I can’t wait to finish the rest of the episodes tomorrow. I wanted to binge watch everything tonight, but I have things to do so can’t stay up too late.

Loving it so far. I’m hoping that the greatness in these episodes that I’ve seen so far stays.

What?! The last two ep was so…I don’t even have a word to describe it. I’m so confused. They wrapped up the ending in such a stupid and ridiculous way.

How the heck did the emperor and Prince Jin and the empress dowager “mend” their relationship? Why did the obsessive princess became good all of a sudden? Because of a few words? How the heck did no one else realized that she was 1. Still pregnant and 2. Have given birth?! What did Lady Yunying died of and why didn’t the royal family give her a proper funeral?! Where did he find her? When did he find her? When did he find out about the child?!

So many questions, and zero answers to them.

Also, the time is so off. She was barely showing when Lady Yunying and Wan got married but then she gave birth after her death?! AND, if the attempt on the miscarriage took place when she was about 4 mos pregnant, how did no one even know that she was still pregnant? Granted that she was in “hiding” but she did show up when Lady Yunying was getting married. How long were they at war?! And if 3 years have passed, how the heck is their daughter old? That little girl is not 3 years old.

What a mess! I enjoyed it until the last two ep. They needed more. Where was the reconciliation? Why did the emperor agree so fast to his request?! What HAPPENED to the jade pendant?! I mean, there was a real one and a fake one.

That’s where they went wrong. I think that they assumed that he will never fall in love with an enemy’s daughter but come on, how can he not fall in love with SKY?
