Wow the trailer looks awesome! And it's directed by the same person who directed Light the Night. This year youku has already broken my heart with Tender Light, can't wait for another dark romance thriller.
I am glad that you found it useful...I will surely check out the mini drama 'An Ancient Love Song' recommend by…
Just noticed you added Ancient Love Song, I'm really happy you liked it! The story is bittersweet but it's beautifully shot and has an unusual plot structure.
I personally loved him in 'A League of Nobleman', his character was so complex yet charming there (mainly because…
Thank you! I've been meaning to watch League of Nobleman for so long.. his screen presence is really good, I can't take my eyes off him for even one second lol
Could someone please give me some recs starring Jing Boran? I noticed he's quite popular but I haven't watched anything with him in it, where do I start?
Please give spoilers, the father of the child is not likely the husband? Watched a couple of episodes with FF…
No, it's her child from Xu Yi.. also your take is horrible. Wtf wrong with you when you say the FL "plays games of coquette"?! Wanwan was born with renal insufficiency because Xu Yi (the abusive husband) has kicked Nanya in the stomach while she was pregnant. Asking for a divorce in broad daylight wouldn't have worked because the public opinion is on the husband's side. If the FL had done that, she would've likely lost the child's custody and would've been accused of trying to extort money from her husband.
There are two dramas in the recommendation section.... Bad kids and Long night. They both have same genre are…
I heard Tong Yao is really good in modern romance Nothing but Thirty but I haven't watched it yet. I knew her from the Rebel (2021), it's a respublican drama where she has amazing chemistry with Zhu Yi Long.
Who took the photos of the men at the restaurant?Zhou Luo threw a bag into the burning car. Evidence of what?
I think it was Liu Xun, the son of Liu ChangShui.. the creep kid. That's why he asked Lin Fanglu if the police has already discovered who took this photo.
I will venture a guess that the reason why Nan Ya couldn't leave Xu Yi was because he had helped her kill her step brother and gathered some evidence implicating her.
It's really sad to read some comments here speculating that Nan Ya is some secret psycho in disguise. This woman was severely abused during many years and disparaged in public by efforts of her husband and with the complicity of the whole village. Even on the New Year's eve nobody (except for ZL) really cares about Nan Ya being mistreated.
Also, we must remember that Ling Chen is a very untrustworthy narrator, she witnesses many situations put out of context. In episode 9 we clearly see she falls into "i can fix him" syndrome when Xu Yi drags her into his car. To be honest, this scene made me doubt Ling's statement that Xu Yi never physically abused her because the way he handled her was far from gentle and in no way romantic.
I don’t get the strangeness between Fanglu and his fiancee in Ep 8. Does anyone have a clue why Fanglu seems…
I assumed his fiancee has guessed Nan Ya was Fanglu's school crush. At the beginning it was said that her dad is a big shot in the police, so probably she feels unwanted and cries because realizes he's chosen to spend the evening reminiscing about the past instead of getting back to her for dinner.
Do not stop because there’s more plot twists and from Ep 19 onwards it’s friggin’ exciting.
To be honest, I largely prefer War of Faith over in the Name of the Brother. This one could have been really great if not for sloppy editing and fluctuating quality of writing. I didn't really cared about Cui Anping or Kai Guan's recent arcs but still pushed through. I can understand why some people will choose to drop this drama. But now that Zhouwen rose through the ranks, I have high hopes for what will come next.
The ending of episode 5 gave me goosebumps, I can't believe how good this drama is. Really hope the pace will…
"I'm not asking for your forgiveness. I just want... I just want you to forget what I ever told you and the hurtful things I did to you" - this phrase alone is such a huge character moment for Zhou Lou. Seeking forgiveness is selfish but regretting having hurt someone requires empathy and understanding.
The ending of episode 5 gave me goosebumps, I can't believe how good this drama is. Really hope the pace will stay the same till the end because so far it's been perfect in every regard. I absolutely love musical choices, the musical score adds so much to the tension and the emotional beats of the series. Below a spoiler for episode 5:
I don't remember the first time it was mentioned but in episode 12 there is a scene where Zhouwu says: "Tell him that although I'm the eldest son, I've been putting my life on the line everyday. Ask him to find a wife soon".
When Zhuowu saved Guan Xue all these years back, he didn't tell her his first name, only the last name Song so when she met Zhuowen in Harbin, he told her his real name.
What do you all think of the ending song? After some googling I discovered it's Caro Mio Ben by Giuseppe Giordani.…
As we've already seen, Zhou Lou is well-versed in the european culture (he watches movies in English), so probably the lyrics represent his feelings towards the FL. But we also know that Nan Ya has a vinyl player in her shop, so lyrics might be from her point of view as well.
What do you all think of the ending song? After some googling I discovered it's Caro Mio Ben by Giuseppe Giordani. To be honest, it's the first time I hear classical italian music in a chinese drama so it got me thinking whether there is a deeper meaning to this musical choice.
I watched till Ep 16 and already so many things have happened(although they’re nowhere near finding out what’s…
I couldn't agree more! Pan Yue was really brutal in episode 16. He always seemed the most competent and rational but I guess his mental issues are taking their toll.
Zhang Zi Xian is such a versatile actor, I can't get enough of his micro expressions. He was really good in the Rebel but here his acting is on the next level.
