so what happened to the storyline of KMJ being a child genius as well, or did I get that wrong?
I'm guessing the experiment went wrong, and instead of the virus supposedly increasing the size of his hippocampus, it did the opposite. That's why he had difficulties memorizing phone numbers or foreign names like "Jayden." But I hope we'll get an actual answer in the finale
Some of my favorite moments:- Rohee basically thinks that Detective Park is a lazy bum.- When the other detective…
Because he returned to the orphanage two days later. What was shown to us was that they conducted the test on the day MJ was picked up from the orphanage (I'm assuming they only had lunch and then did the IQ test). The forensic doctor mentioned there were two experimental subjects, and the first "candidate" was MJ. However, I feel like he's more than just a candidate. Some comments suggested that he's the way he is now because he didn't receive a good education, but I believe he has cognitive decline, especially in memory. He had a difficult time memorizing phone numbers and kept forgetting foreign names like Jayden (although they could play this up for jokes). The experiment definitely had something to do with increasing cognitive ability, particularly memory.
Regarding the murders, I thought that Hye-eun killed the mom, while the security ahjussi did kill the doctor, as he told the police. However, that is because Hye-eun told her to rob the house.
Yuna's acting at the end there 👏 👏 👏... I'm not crying, you're crying...
Some of my favorite moments: - Rohee basically thinks that Detective Park is a lazy bum. - When the other detective joined them and got bossed around by Rohee... 🤣 [I hope he's not the mole.] - The father-daughter reunion and Hee-ah calling Rohee "unnie.". Rohee should adopt them once this whole deal is over.
So I guessed correctly that the security ahjussi was the one who paid for the surgery. Now I'm curious to see the next episode to find out if my guess for the real murderer is correct. Also, I hope they will delve a bit more into MyungJoon as the experimental subject, and whether he was a product of an experiment gone wrong. I thought they would answer that in today's episode but oh well...
Also, MJ never talked about knowing Dr. Choi, the grandfather, so far, right? I don't know if he forgot about it or what, but it's weird that he never mentioned that again, even to Hye-eun. I hope that will be clarified as well in the finale.
They said a man came to pay for it, but he's wearing disguise so we don't know exactly who. I'm guessing it's…
Which doctor? The one he met at the restaurant? I think that's because that doctor knew about Hye-eun (the one he referred to as "the mistress").
As for the IQ test, MyungJoon had already marked all his answers and then spent the remaining time doodling, while Hye-eun has a lot of corrections on her sheet, and she hasn't answered some of them. So MyungJoon was naturally smart. My theory from last week was that Dr. Choi, the grandfather, adopted Hye-eun since he said he would adopt the child who scored higher and took MyungJoon as his experimental subject because he scored lower, due to Hye-eun swapping the papers. Probably due to the experimental failure, the injection had a reverse effect, causing his brain to deteriorate, leading to cognitive decline.
so.. no redemption arc for the bodyguard, huh? 💀💀 i thought for the first three shots that someone might…
I think he halfway redeems himself by taking Rohee to the hospital, and the way he's trying to lure Rohee out by talking to her is a bit nice/warm for his character since he rarely talks.
I guess Rohee will regain her memory by the end of episode 11, and everything will be wrapped up by episode 12. Here's hoping for a good ending that isn't rushed, because this drama has been excellent so far (well, minus some plot conveniences, but they don't affect my enjoyment of the show). And maybe we'll know more about MyungJoon and Hye-eun's past tomorrow. I still have a big question mark about what happened to MyungJoon that he's not that smart anymore. Side effect of the experiment?
One question: do you know who paid for the girl's surgery? It has already been said and I missed it or is nothing…
They said a man came to pay for it, but he's wearing disguise so we don't know exactly who. I'm guessing it's the security ahjussi. [Because Dr Mo said it wasn't her, and it's highly unlikely that Jaden group would care about it]
Really was annoying to see them slow walk to a tree with the torch, whereas they could have just thrown it or…
Yes! I thought they were going to shoot the arrows to light up the resin. With all those slow-motion, staring dumbfounded shots, it's not like they could've been using that time to delve into the other plot or anything... *cough* ikomahis *cough*
Still enjoying the show, but there's honestly some scenes just baffled me in terms of efficiency.
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of how season 2 has been unfolding so far. I liked how fast-paced it was compared to season…
yes, really can't blame the writer. They need more episodes to flesh out the story and characters but they can only get budget for 12 episodes. That's why I don't think they should have brought in a new plot thread about ikomahis unless it's going to directly impact the conclusion of the story. But let's see, we touched on that subject again in ep 10.
The burning the Tree was a bit dragged out imo. They could have just used arrows with fire to hit the target instead…
agree that it's sooo drag out with everyone just staring and not doing anything (this one is just my pet peeves). At the end I was just thinking just die already, and I liked that character.
