The lightning gave him additional power. Also, if igutu can not even do that, then why are they different from…
I'm saying this kindly, are we not allowed to still enjoy the episode while also having criticism about specific scenes? When I read OP's statement, it's not that OP complained about Eunseom being overpowered. The focus was more on the drawn-out fight scene between Eunseom and Yancha, as well as how poor the CGI and the way he climbed the cliff appeared somewhat excessive (and yes, I laughed at that scene because it looked funny).
PS: Also I read your comment above and probably all this comes down to misunderstandings on what the complaints are about.

I have seen a lot of complaints about how ruthless Euseom is and the fighting scenes. If you have seen season 1,…
I mean, it makes sense that he was foolish and couldn't fight in Season 1. He grew up in the Wahan tribe, which is quite peaceful, with little to no politics. The only fights he ever got into were petty squabbles with his friends, and perhaps the occasional skirmish with a neighboring tribe (although I can't recall if they ever engaged in a serious fight or war). They hunted for their food using slingshots. Essentially, he never witnessed or learned how to fight others. But as an igutu, he possesses a fantastic memory and learned fighting techniques by observing the Daekan force.

He believed in the goodness of people and thought that he could free the Wahan tribe by negotiating the trade with Sanung Nihura. However, he underestimated how formidable Arthdal is and how cunning some individuals can be, to the extent that they would even kill their own parents to achieve their desires.

Now, fast-forward eight years later, it makes sense that he's become more enlightened about the real world, including politics, betrayals, ruthlessness, and so on. He's been working on uniting the Ago tribe and preparing for war against Arthdal. Consequently, his fighting skills have improved significantly. He's also become more street-smart, although I believe he's still somewhat naive when dealing with Taelha.

I don't think the writers addressed this character development due to complaints (and it would be detrimental to shape the story solely based on public sentiment, as you can't please everyone). It appears to be a natural progression of his character based on what the character went through. Unfortunately, we didn't witness the events of those eight years, which could have helped flesh out his character and provide insight into his motives in Season 2.

I miss her hairstyles from season 1
It's great to meet you too!

Anyway, I felt that the complaints about the first season mainly came from K-netizens. At the time it was airing, most of those who complained hadn't even watched the show. They merely looked at the trailer and made assumptions or complaints, stating that it was a copycat of Game of Thrones. And other people also jumped into the bandwagon and echoing the same thing without watching. However, if they had watched the show, I don't think that argument would hold much weight (e.g. there's a Korean YouTube channel I follow, DKDKTV, where the YouTuber initially poked fun at Arthdal, labeling it as cheesy and an attempt to imitate GoT. However, after watching the show, he retracted his statement.)

Personally, I find the costumes to be fitting. While it was never explicitly stated whether Arth represents only the Korean peninsula, a continent, or a reimagined Earth (or maybe I missed that part), we do know that the story unfolds during the Bronze Age. If you search for clothing from the Bronze Age, Season 1 pretty much encapsulates the various possible styles of that period. I feel like the Ago tribe, especially, is mostly inspired by the clothing of indigenous tribes in Borneo. The Asa tribe's clothing appears quite East Asian, but perhaps more modern than what Bronze Age clothing might resemble. The Wahan tribe's looks are pretty much in line with what you can find on Pinterest for Bronze Age fashion.

To clarify, my original comment wasn't intended to make a definitive statement about whether Season 1 is superior to Season 2 or vice versa. I came across a comment expressing a sentiment that I share and decided to comment accordingly. I personally loved her hairstyles in Season 1. However, it doesn't imply that I dislike the current hairstyles. I believe that your observations make sense, and they complement her overall image as a queen.

I became less interested in this drama after the scene in episode 5, Taelha easily beats EunSeom.....what a ridiculous…
Well, he's not Saya, who has lived with Taelha for 20 years and could detect her ulterior motives a mile away. He probably thought she was just grateful he saved her son. And Taelha took advantage of that.

I enjoyed ep 5, but the scene at the end where EunSeom is crawling up that cliff like some alien on steroids was…
ngl. I was laughing at that crawling scene. While I know it's possible for him to move like that (just like how Ragaz was jumping off trees in the first episode of season 1), I think the way it was shot and choreographed was kinda funky. Also, was YangCha trying to save him AFTER he pushed him off the cliff? He threw his chain down, but it wasn't clear to me if the chain did anything at that moment. It only helped him later on.
All this time, I've been wondering where BeokSo went after getting separated from Dalsae and Eunseom, and if they would ever find him. Finally, I got my answer. Also, were his traveling friends shown in season 1? I seem to remember the boy who mentioned Remus (or a scene related to that) but can't recall the episode.

Yes this was announced early this week. it’s because tomorrow there is a soccer match in Korea that will be…
That's a nice surprise. I woke up at 3 AM my time, and there were only five episodes available, but by the time it ended, episode 6 was available. At least I got to watch half of it before I had to go work out.

yeah, I learnt that from watching sageuks for almost 2 decades now 😊 , just thought that this is high fantasy not historical drama/sageuks so they don't really have to adhere to what is thought to be ancient korean fashion/style. And also the Hae tribe is not from Arthdal but from Remus (wherever that is supposed to be) so for me it makes sense that Taelha and Hae Tuak have like a distinct styles compared to the other tribes in Arthdal.

me three. many of us are not fond of the costumes this season.
because everyone can't like the same thing. Some people like the costumes from season 1 and some people like the costumes from season 2 and that's fine.

He's actually pretty cool but unfortunately they didn't introduce him earlier.
They did a good job fleshing out his character though. I was caught off guard with the emotions I felt for the NK agents and soldiers. It's a testament to how well this drama developed each character, giving them depth and making them truly three-dimensional.

Se Kyung Which not good on face emotion suprisedly good on this, because she have good aura of noble things..
Yeah, and Tanya's character has become somewhat stoic, so it suits her acting range.

nvm, some reviewer marked that they've seen 20 out of 20 episodes on August, others 12 days ago. This is why I…
I'm enjoying this drama. I just think that it's biased that people gave review and marked it as complete when the last 3 episodes are not released yet, which also happens a lot with other dramas on this website. This one is just noticeable because I really thought all 3 episodes had been released and the countdown is gone.
I'm trying to convey this nicely, if you want to give a review halfway then mark the number of episodes that you have watched, don't mark it as complete. Just my opinion.

Honestly I dropped western shows for a long time, only watching a few of them from time to time but I never managed…
Maybe it reminds them of Heroes or X-men? It does have that vibe. I think it's valid for people to say that, and perhaps they didn't mean to imply that it's copying Western shows or anything bad. It's more about it reminding them of some shows they've watched in the past (Western shows).
