Story telling starts slow. Was kinda bored for the first 4 episodes before it started to pick up. My advice: Do…
I haven't read the spoiler, but yeah hard agree that some scenes felt very drawn out, like they deliberately slow it down. I saw your comment while starting the first few episodes and I'm also guilty of watching it at 1.25 and even 1.5 speed at times because if not I will fall asleep. Other than that I think the story was smart and well-written (so far and I'm on episode 11)
Just finished episode 13. The show was fantastic in the first half to two-thirds, and I was ready to consider it a masterpiece. However, I was disappointed with the overuse of the "secret-keeper" trope in the later episodes, which killed the show's momentum. While the initial buildup was intriguing, it lost its impact when the secrets were finally revealed, and the trope felt repetitive and predictable. I was enjoying the show immensely, scoring it a solid 9 to 9.5, but the last few episodes have made me reconsider. I'll be keeping/deducting my score depending on how the show wraps up.
just finished episode 2 and idk if imma be able to finish this everyone is so dumb why is the fucking military…
They were told to stay put by the soldiers. But then the 2 students sneaked away, and the remaining soldiers went to look for them (after telling the teacher to stay put). The teacher however had some noble idiocy syndrome going on and decided to search for the students. I agree on the military shouldn't have kept it a secret, and let people roam free. But if you keep watching that got answered later on. IMO, the secrecy part was done just to get the students to sign up voluntarily as the military reserves while thinking that the situation is not dire enough and this would be an easy way to get extra points for their CSATs
If All of us are dead, Sweet home and Stranger things had a baby it would be this drama
I get the All of Us are Dead and Sweet Home references, but why Strangers From Hell? IMO, the characters in Strangers from Hell are a significant factor in the show's overall creepiness. Their unpredictable behavior, disturbing secrets, and unsettling quirks all contribute to a sense of unease and tension that pervades the show. These elements are integral to the show's creepy atmosphere, which I feel is not depicted in Duty After School.
The bias and hatred in one of the main reviews is concerning (one look at the profile and I wonder if that was supposed to be a troll account). Anyway about the movie itself, although I found the first 10-15 minutes of the movie interesting, I will hold off on watching until better subtitles become available.
The first half of this drama is enjoyable and endearing, despite some repetitive plot points. However, the second half loses momentum and becomes frustrating. The introduction of conflicts through out-of-character behavior feels contrived, jarring, and ultimately unsatisfying. It appears as though the show was attempting to balance too many elements in a short amount of time, resulting in underdeveloped political conflicts. While I typically prefer shorter episodes for dramas, this one, which aims to depict political intrigue in a traditional sageuk style, could have benefited from additional episodes to further flesh out its storyline.
on ep 4 and heerak is so fckin annoying i need him to d*e and also that one bitch who was whining and wasting…
Tell me about it! Those two, Hee-rak and the whinny girl, really drove me up the wall. I understand they're teenagers and all and supposed to be entitled and whiny, but they really tested my patience in ep 4. The girl who scrapped her knee and had to be piggybacked, while Seo Youn kept walking with that severe injury. Keep watching though, there's some redemption arc at least for one of the characters, while for the other one, the jury is still out on that one. Also, I kinda wish they tone down the bullying aspect now that we're dealing with a near-apocalyptic situation.
Nara so bores me, i dont understand the hype around her... Boring character for me even if she's a good marksman.
Maybe her character is better developed in the webtoon (Idk neither since I haven't read it)? I'm slightly indifferent to Nara. I haven't seen much personality from her other than she's such a great marksman and at least she never whines. She's great during battle scenes, but forgettable (imo) when the classmates interact with each other.
I know i am late to the party but this thing keeps bothering me......I know highschool kids are dumb but what…
I think that is just a plothole. I mean there are no spheres in Russia, meanwhile, there are spheres in Alaska. Both regions sat in the same latitude and similar temperatures. Not sure about the population though. I think both regions are sparsely populated so even if I take that as another metric it still doesn't explain why there are spheres (and quite a lot of them) in Alaska but not Russia. Idk if the spheres have been hanging around for a year is another plothole or if they're just trying to say that the spheres are immune to cold in their spheres form, but once they drop from the sky and in a form of the spidey thingy then they become more susceptible to cold
Huhu, on episode 16 now and getting more and more annoyed of Song Ga Ryeong. I dont like women, who force oneself…
Probably you want to drop the show. If not already. She ends up with him and I'm so happy for them. I actually loved the fact that she didn't passively waiting for him to make a move and take the lead. It takes one person in that relationship to take the initiative, and she's the one who did that. Very refreshing to watch in sageuk.
The plot is bad, and pretty unrealistic. And most of the characters are annoying and unlikeable I'm disappointed.
well it's about alien invasion so the plot is unrealistic by default. Unless by unrealistic you mean the characters tend to do something that most humans wouldn't do given the situation? I'd agree that those happened a lot.
Right! I'm surprised because usually K dramas avoid gore. It's a really good series though.
k-dramas on national broadcasting stations usually avoid gore but since this one is released on streaming site they have more freedom. No blurred knives either :D
So these are my questions: 1) What exactly happened to Captain Kang (Eun Sil) that she still remains in the village…
Hi, for you answer ti question (1), was Thomas's body actually found or were the remains belong to other independent fighters except him. I think he mentioned that he got separated from the group and then was found and killed by the Japanese soldier?
