Ep 3 was a tough watch. Suicide is such a sensitive subject, but I got to admit how it happened made me upset and a bit angry. Especially because from that act Pleng was left alone to deal with everything. I mean she didn't just lose her father, she lost her mother, her money and her home too. And someone who Pleng's mom trusted to take care of her daughter(probably) turned out to be a two-faced, stone cold, biatch. I mean if she treats her own daughter like trash, Wan, how was she going to treat her bosses' daughter in a time like this? I knew I didn't like Aunt Viv for a reason. Wan is the only thing Pleng has left and now she's going to push her away and run away. So much angst. I live for it. Time jump next episode.... the emotions. Loving the chemistry and for this being my first GL I really like it despite the toxicness etc.
I saw some complaining about the pace last week, but I think this is following the same pacing all the gmmtv bl's do: ep formula: 1-2- Getting to know each other. A bond starts to form 3-4 One of them falls deeply in love while the other is in denial 5-6- the one in denial starts to slowly accept his feelings 7-8- Confession and usually becoming a couple 9-11- ANGST 12- Resolution of angst & HEA(For the most part)
As for the episode I'm hooked. Like I mentinoned before I'm loving the chemistry and the story is entertaining. The episode goes by really fast. I also like how Q is not a pushover, boy knows how to defend himself. LOL at his attempts to escape and how they were thawed. Buy hey he's a little fighter. Also like how Q is starting to trust Min eventhough he's his kidnapper but as Q said: "You're the worst Kidnapper" and Min is.
Not finished with the episode yet but wowza the chemistry! Ohm definitely has way more intense chemistry with Leng than he did in his past ship. OhmLeng are definitely giving me JimmySea/OffGun vibes. And before someone stones me yes, I did like ON's chemistry in BB but I never felt like it was as intense as other ships. With OL I feel it. And again, Leng for being a newbie is holding up against a seasoned actor like Ohm. Ok, back to the episode.
They will become a couple soon ( probably in the next two or three ep) but when the parents find out they will…
My parents are still very old fashioned. And that's how they think about lgbtq+ tho I feel that if one of us came out they'd try to understand and hopefully accept it. Think it'd be tougher with my dad than my mom.
They will become a couple soon ( probably in the next two or three ep) but when the parents find out they will…
OMG I'm going to cry when that airs. It's heartbreaking. I just rewatched the trailer & there's a sex scene in there. It goes too fast so I can't tell who it is. Just that one of them has a beard. Neither T nor W do as of now. So, if it's them I wonder if that's the cliff for season 2. Then they'll tell us how they got there in S2. And we better get S2 too.

Well at least the parents leave them alone in the end. They already hurt their sons enough but nah! beliefs and shame matter more to them ugh. So proud of Wang for telling his father that later on. Yeah, Tian has been pretty amazing since the beginning so I can see what you mean that he won't change as much in the second half of the story. Wang is also an amazing young man, but I feel like he's not as mature as Tian is. So, he has to go on a journey to get there.

Well, that sucks. And I thought the parents had learned their lesson after what we saw episode 8. Knowing what they're about to do to Tian and Wang I take it back they are so selfish. And yes I understand that stepbrothers falling in love is taboo in many cultures but in the end what matters is their son's happiness not what they want. If S2 is def confirmed, then I fear we may end S1 with the separation and have to wait for the reunion sigh.
I thought this episode handled the struggle with their parents very well. It is tough for working parents to be…
Honestly the writers of this series are so good. They know how to present problems and real-life situations well to the audience. The parents dilemma is one good example of that.
I saw YT comments that it will start airing on the 15th. Saw the latest trailer but If im not mistaken it didn't have an airing date on there(unless I missed it). I guess we'll see on Sunday if it airs or not. Anyhoo. I'm excited for this drama. I've loved Landy Li since The Starry Love so I can't wait to see her again. I was iffy on her pairing with Ren Jia Lun bur after watching the latest trailer, I think they look good together. The story looks impresssive so I can't wait!
While I understand the parents need to have their children with them it's a bit late for that. They were never good parents in the first place so trying to force Tian and Wang to stay in that house, where they were not really happy was very selfish of them. That being said that I loved how the parents listened to both JT and SW when it came to their feelings and the pain that they've carried for years. In the end it showed that despite their huge flaws as parents they do love their boys and, in the end, will make the right decisions to ensure that both Tian and Wang are happy. Now I'm waiting to see how they react to realizing that Tian and Wang fell in love. Speaking of that: I love slow burn romances, and I think the writers of The On1y one have handled it well. I feel the connection between JT and SW so strongly and yes that's due a lot with Benjamin and Dong Qiu's acting but it's the script too. The last scene where Tian realizes that he finally has a home, somewhere that he's safe and a place he can trust with his heart.... that was deep esp when he realized that it wasn't the dorm that was his home: it's Wang. I teared up. Everything was perfect in that scene. The lighting, the OST, the acting: 100. For a second tho, I thought Sheng Wang was going to pull away from Jiang Tian again because of what the director told him. I'm glad that he didn't. But who knows that may be a course of angst in the next episodes, we'll see. Honestly, I'm just so in love with this series.
Caught up. OMG this show is so beautiful. Love how it takes the audience back to our youth(if you are older) and that sense of school and first love perfectly. I can't find any fault in it at all. And if it does have it the good overtakes the bad. I'm so glad that I decided to watch this. Everyone loving it gave me the curiousity and I don't regret it. Def the best bl of the year up there with Last Twilight for me. Now the only bad thing is that I have to wait a week for the next episode.
