Yes, some of the directing decisions were very questionable. Why ddin't anyone say: "Hey? are you sure you want to use this shot?" Not that Youku really cared but still. Luckily the acting made up for some of the dumb decisions made by the director.

Hollywood loves that light a lot too especially in the kiss scenes, but they do it much better and not all the time.

Watching ep 27 on Youku with the new lightning. Every detail of Youkin's robes are now visible as well as Yetan's. The Heavenly costumes were so beautiful such a shame Youkus weird decisions on lightening ruined them. At least the new viewers can now experience the costumes in all their glory.

Definitely! esp when that light interfered with the actual visual of the kisses. I was almost blinded lol.

They deserve awards for their work. Both of them were so good. And yes they made me feel their pain those scenes.

Go QIngkui! I love how both YT and OK give those trash father in laws truth bombs. Both are so strong and not afraid to give them h. Qingkui and Chaofeng’s wedding wa beautiful. I think this episode was theirs. Wudai is such a muffin. I love him more and more so glad he lived til the end an got his hea.
I love how Youqin doesn’t want Yetan to stifle who she really is. He loves her for her and wants her to remain her carefree self. This man is really the standard. The moment where YQ finds out all the pain YT has been thru in her life 😭. CXX portrayed Youqin’s quiet heartbreak so well. Seriously this young man is soooo good at what he does. Love Yetan even more thru everything she went thru she never lost her essence but remind the strong, carefree, kindhearted young woman she is.
Lol at YQ being annoyed at not being able to spend much time with Tan because of school. And YT just wants to go to school let her.
Tomorrow I see the first sword dance at all it’s glory.

Have to say that I agree with her points. She still rated it high but I think we all had the problems she did in the end.

She is a strong fl since the beginning. If you find her voice annoying which is her real voice btw. Then this drama is not for you. Which is ok it happens.

Ok,,,,,, the trailer gave me way too many: The Romance of Tiger and Rose vibes, esp his character seems like another Han Chu. But I’ll give it a chance since the synopsis tells me it’s a completely different story.

To think YQ almost loses YT when he's Heartless and then actually experiencing that loss full on later completely breaks my heart.
