Title The Starry Love Spoiler
I still feel Tan's personality in the flower. Esp when he asks her if it's really her LOL. That little flower bounce. So Yetan.

Yeah, same, I didn't feel it strong enough like (for example) Emperor Tun's redemption arc. It didn't feel as…
Yup. Since he was the only character who had knowledge of the tree then he had to do it. But I would have preferred if it had been one of the masters.

Good lord, the micromanaging of CXX's an Li Land's body fat in China...all these peeps insisting that they starve…
I was pleasently suprised that they have normal bodies, and where aloud to film like that. If it had been my country, they would have been forced to starve themselves in order to maintain the beauty norm that is the standard sigh. It's awful that people are always gonna body shame someone who may not be the ideal weight in their eyes.

The drama was that good, I can’t even be mad at that ending.
This is Me. and in a way we did see them reunite. Just not in the complete way we wanted XD

Emperor Tun's redemption was done so much better. I felt it. This one just felt tacked on for sl purposes.

I likethis way of seeing things. I can accept the Mortal Emperor one's because in the end he did love Tan. Just went with things the bad way. HE? He was willing to turn his son into emotionless puppet as long as he wasn't with the woman he loves. And let's not forget how he was trying to kill YT in front of YQ. Just no.

One thing I'm not sure how I feel about the "redemption" of the HE. I know he's the reason Youqin is able to get Tan back but still he caused them both so much pain. Took a way valuable time that his son could have been happy with his wife. And was a big reason why YT died in the first place as well as QK. Spare me his whole: "I was wrong, I'm sorry and I realize how in love you and Yetan are now." "Let me make it up to you." crupola. sigh. I guess we have to have the obligatory redemption of the villain.

I guess that will be the norm now...

It just hit me that no more new episodes :(. Well there's still 24-40 to watch for me. I can still watch the eps while knowing what's gonna happen. I'm gonna miss the excitement of a new ep every day tho. Overall, I'm glad I watched this because it's my favorite drama with Alchemy of Souls. I would give it more than a 10 because it deserves it. Like I said the ending doesn't take anything away from me. And technically YQ and YT were reunited just in flower form haha. I'm definitely rewatching this once I'm 100% done with it. I'm also gonna miss the lively comment section. I hope some of you stick around for a little bit til we may find something else to watch. Hopefully people don't start hate bombing the rating because of how it ended. Despite that TSL still deserves all the love in the world. Esp, CXX, LLD, LC, HXL as well as the rest of the cast.

Feels like all Xianxias now either have the happy open ending or the tragic ending with a short epilogue released later.

Youqin's tears at the end are legit tears of joy. It would have been perfect had we gotten to see the girls back…
Yeah we all wanted to see the girls with their husbands again but it does seem like they ran out of time. Had YT's sacrifice happened in ep 39 we would have definitely seen them this episode. Good to know that they'll be back in their original form. That way YQ and CF won't be confused when they return.

The novel is BE until the epilogue (which is apparently HE). YT's and YQ's relationship in the novel is a bit…
yup. Their relationship was so different from the rest of Xianxia's I've seen. That's what made it special. Their conflict came from his awful father and the world but not from within. Everything they faced they did it together. And for that I'm so grateful it could have been so much worse.

Agreed both Youqin and Chaofeng know that their wait won't be much longer now. As you said that explains YQ's happy tears at the end. A year is much better than 1,000 years. I do think the flower was reborn so soon because Yetan and Qingkui's duty is done. So, the tree let them go. I do have a question do you think their original human forms will be the same or will they change physically?

And like you the end doesn't take away from the drama for me. 10/10 although I have a feeling the rating will drop damn it.
On The Starry Love Mar 11, 2023
I think the original ending to the novel(pre epilogue) is much worse than what the writers did for TSL. I'm also grateful that Youkin and Yetan's relationship was healthier in the drama from what I've seen from the novel snippets. I mean did they even fight after accepting that they were in love? No, they did not. None of those misunderstanding, stupid cliches, either of them being dumb as rocks etc. For that I am happy

At least the flower didn't take 1,000 yrs this time haha. I do wonder if when they are reborn they will have the same physical looks or will look different and if so how will YQ and CF find them? These open endings sigh.
