I'm anxious to see how it will all end. I've seen trailers with heavy spoilers for the last eps we're going to be crying even more.

Some criticized LYN for taking on this script and portraying this character basically saying that it was a waste of his time because the script was shite. I think it's obvious why he chose to tell this story. It's not perfect by any means. I don't think anyone can really say that of any drama but it's highly intelligent. Makes you both feel and think excessively after the episodes have finished. It's a critique not just on tropes that are repeated over and over in Cdramas but also how the characters are often handled in these stories. It's also its own story telling a love story between two characters who may be fake or not, who learned how to love each other despite all odds and are trying their hardest to fight the strings that bind them inside the story book. This story isn't just a simple romance story it goes beyond that. All the relationships and characters are important even the ones we despise.
With the love and care that Liu Yuning plays Nan Heng I'm almost sure that this is one of his most favorite characters too. Li Yi Tong despite heavily criticized for her character by some also loves SYM and the story she got to tell. I'm glad that the script for ADWAD was made and who they cast to play the ML and FL. It's going to be a hard one to get over.

*Applause* you just described perfectly why I love this drama so much and it's characters. They love each other so much and like you said it wasn't a love with bells and whistles from the beginning like that these dramas often rely on. buta gradual and a love so strong that it changed the characters and maybe gave them the strength to fight against their destiny win or lose.

Yeah I’d say WS is my second favorite character of his. But I love NH so much and def feel this is his best character/role up to now.

I agree with both I do think his love for her is his own. The writer did intend to redeem him to a degree but I have big doubts that he intended Nan Heng to love her like he does.

I was rewatching ep 6 where NH keeps saving SYM from those men who are trying to kill her. I found it even funnier this time. The whole rule of the ML never letting harm come to the FL's is so true. They even go to extremes to protect them. Often jumping in danger for them.
I remember in Moonlight Mystique the bounds Fan Yue would go to, to protect Bai Shou even if it cost him his life. While I love that trope because it shows how much the ML loves the Fl it is extreme. Which is why it was funny when they are making fun of that in ep 6.

Yw :). Id say you are 85-90% right I see something like that happening in the end too.

I prefer this one too. TPoB was good too but they dragged out him not understanding his feelings for her way too much. Almost dropped it because of that.

Once she knew he was the same person she started trusting him and seeing him differently. she was angry but she let him in way more than before. The LSL really changed everything.

After watching ep 32 I'm wondering how much of NH's love for SYM was actually the screen writer's intention? And how much is his own choice as his own character? hmm. I say this because Heng seems to have grown way more than the writer intended him to. Just him going against the script in the wedding scene aside from the writing taking control of him made me think.

I hope BL and LYN do make one someday. Seeing him with LYT only made me want him in a drama with BL.

I thought it was after that's why I thought the iconic scenes were now out of order lol. It was Yimeng saying Heng was Yiting's brother-in-law that threw me off because technically he wasn't yet.
