Ahhh MM my favorite cdrama and tied with ADWAD as my favorites this year. I watched other dramas after MM but couldn't get attached til now.

me too. we have similar likes. If the love story feels empty to me, I don't like the drama. I like development and I feel it was done well here.

I get you. You can say the ADWAD is less of a romance than TPoB was. Characters love each other but they have a slude of obstacles to go thru more than WS and QMM did. But I find myself liking it more.

I did like TPoB but like you I like this one more. Wei Shou was a great character and perfectly acted by LYN but the whole: "I love her but don't know I love her." thing dragged on too much. I had to ffwd those episodes to get thru the story. Once I got past that I was able to enjoy it more. with ADWAD I have no pace issues and am way more attached to the characters.
The themes here also keep me glued to the screen.

The script writer being stubborn and not following where the characters lead him is a well written critique of how stubborn writers destroy their own shows.. How I met Your Mother and Game of Thrones being prime examples of this. I'm sure lots of dramas have also followed this path.

ARP also stole my heart in Moonlight Mystique so good as FY. His drama is replacing this one. but I'm probably not going to watch it for two reasons I need a break after ADWAD likeI did after MM ended. since I didn't watch BL in FEUD with another, I won't do it with ARP either.

the thing with STY won't happen now. NH only loves SYM and SYT loves SGH. Since we know that scene is still happening, I wonder how different it will be now.

wait... I just realized something if the wedding was in ep 32 in the original script too then that means Song Yimeng married that Nan Heng after he cheated on her with her sister? Yikes! I always thought the wedding there was before, but I guess not. No wonder he stabbed her back in ep 1 he was trying to get rid of her so he could be with Song Yiting.

I knew she was going to return his love tenfold when we got there. Well, she's been in love with him for a while but was letting the fear of the script rule her. She did say she loved him back in ep 24. Yet we still had to watch her be stubborn lol.

I'm getting serious villain vibes from the screen writer.

nope Emilia and Kit were pretty upset about how they ended it. I'm glad those writers got karma and it's hard for them to work again.

He's becoming my favorite Cdrama actor. he's talented and knows how to do his stuff. He even looks younger when he's portraying Nan Heng as very innocent or vulnerable how does he do that?

When Heng finally kills Guihong (I hope that's something that won't change.) we're all going to cheer.

lower your expectations. that way you're not disappointed.
