For those saying they don't like that SY doesn't return NH's feelings, she will soon. From the bts clips I saw on YT she's going to love him a lot. Just have to wait til the story gets there.
The next scene should be about the wedding where they stab each other. I'm thinking it will break there because…
I saw a clip of the wedding in a bts video and he's the only one who's stabbed. I wonder if CGH will still do it. And you're right there's no way he'd hurt her now that he's in love with her. PS. she's not harmed in the clip so.... things def changed.
exactly she has reasons not to trust him and the script. Look at how it just forced her to beg her father to not break her engagement to NH. Just like in the original script. She knows some things can't be changed and that's what scares her.
So I watched it and you guys were right it wasn’t that bad. I just really want to kill the emperor and knock…
Like I posted on another comment ep 18 was def the break thru for SY's character, she's starting to understand and view him differently but it's still going to take time for her to accept it. And with the LS=NH reveal probably coming soon that may push her backwards. We know she's going to be very angry at first because let's face it, it's a betrayal. Anyways the ones not willing to give NH a chance at all are the emperor (he gets worse and worse) and CGH. I'm tired of his righteousness. He's made mistakes too but rather blame Nan Heng for everything because he feels that he abandoned him. Someone didn't send those pigeons to NH, and I can't wait to find out who it was.
Since I started watching cdramas I've always told myself, if I get frustrated by the characters or the drama itself,…
I think ep 18 was a break thru for her character. she even talks about how she doesn't see NH the same anymore. But some's hatred for her character made them miss it completely.
The acting in the Nan Heng and CGH scene by both LYN and WYS was amazing. Top rate actors my heart hurt. It breaks my heart all the pain Heng is going thru ( I also think this is done on purpose by the writers to show everything the script writers put their ML's thru). He needs a break, and he may get a small one in ep 19.
Eps 17 & 18 showed that Song Yimeng has really changed her mind on Nan Heng. I'll put my thoughts in tags
First, she says that the people she thought were bad may not be as bad as she though. Then she tells NH as LS that Nan Heng is not a one-dimensional villain, he's a real person that has suffered so much and she understands why he is the way he is. After she breaks his heart and he leaves she says that she doesn't want anything to happen to Heng either. The signs that she doesn't see him the same are there. It's the script that she doesn't trust because no matter how she tries to change her fate inside the script things are still happening the way they did in the original script. Differently yes, but still in route to her tragic ending. I get why she's not able to trust him but in reality, it's fate that she doesn't trust. She's using him as a scape goat. It's alluded in ep 17 that she has feelings for NH that she doesn't deny when her sister brings them up. It's just that she's scared and rather believe the tragic ending than anything else. In time, she'll see how wrong she is. But first there's the LS identity. betrayal that is probably going to make people who dislike her, dislike her even more.
For those hating SY if someone treated you like NH did, tried to kill you multiple times in the new script, used and manipulated you while having an affair with your sister and a baby in the OG script, would you easily trust him even though he's changed or would you at first think it was all an act that couldn't be trusted? I love NH and I too get frustrated but at the same time I get why SY refuses to trust him (even when she's starting to slowly, we've seen how she's starting to see a new side to him) I get her pov too. It's not easy to trust and see someone as a good person after their past ugly actions. She will but it will take time.
Just thought of something. She really didn’t like LYN ‘s actor character at the beginning and had judged him…
To be fair she's not judging NH just because of what she's heard of him she's judging him based on HIS actions towards her. OG Nan Heng was horrible let's not forget that he cheated on her with her own sister and let her fall to her death while saving her sister in front of her. This NH tried to kill her multiple times before changing. Yes, I get it, it's frustrating because she won't see how much he's changed (tho she's slowly coming to see that) but she has her reasons for not trusting him at all. I mean, I wouldn't. The good thing is that she's softening towards him because she's slowly seeing beneath the surface.
I hope Emperor's toughness is the true father's love towards ML, to protect him from harm, to teach him to be…
I really hope that the writers don't do that. He's abused and let others abuse NH for more than half his life only for it to be a protection method? No, I hate that. I've seen writers try and redeem horrible fathers that way, and honestly, I've had enough of it in The Starry Love with both the ML and FL's fathers in that story. Just leave the empreror as a villain. I don't get the need to redeem him after everything he's done.
I think somewhere between 17 and 22 she’ll find out his true identity and then things are going to go lord knows…
true + that has changed since most characters are different now. I just meant that it's a big betrayal his hidden identity to counteract the non-cheating now the script can do that instead.
According to ya'll who would be the main villain in the story?
Main wise the script writer or the script itself if it's a source of evil fate. The other main villains are the emperor and maybe the uncle he seems sketchy.
