The gay panic scenes were so freaking hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. I loved LYN in TPoB but I definitely love him more here. The brooding, damaged hero mixed in with the comedic, scheming, lighter in love version of him is A+. Liu Yuning is such an awesome actor. He can portray anything. & of course, loving his chemistry with LYT. He has chemistry with everyone he's worked with so far. Nan Heng's father is freaking, despicable trash. For him to blame a child for what happened to his wife and keep that hatred for years is ridiculous. Even one of his subordinates told him Heng was a child back then and couldn't mastermind all of that. Did he care? no. I love his mom tho, she's exactly the parent NH needed. UGH CGH how many times does she need to tell you that she doesn't want you for you to get it? He has 0 dignity. Nang Rui is the same with Song Yiting. Oh, Yiting looks like the new script is heading back to the original script when it comes to her. Poor Yimeng her biggest fear is seemingly coming true. The difference is that NH loves her when he didn't in the first script. She'll figure that out soon.
I know it's frustrating that Yimeng won't look beyond the surface when it comes to Heng. But from ep 17 preview there's a reason she can't. despite the script already changing, NH being different from the og script, something's remain the same. She still thinks he'll kill her one day, because to her the script is going the same way despite the differences. I want her to get past that hatred, fear too but I think it will take something really big for her to finally understand how different everything is particularly NH.
Besides Moonlight Mystique this is definitely the only other drama that has me this obsessed since then. That's why it's going in my favorites of 2025/top favorites ever. I feel sorry for those who are actively hating it without giving it a chance. The same was done to MM by some. Whatever as long as I love it and many others do too. That's all that matters.

If that happens then yes very similar to TRoTAR at the end. Because HS also dies when they're about to go back to the real world. Then back in the real world he wakes from his coma remembering everything. Let's see how they do it here.
I'm loving Constort Gao. Heng needed a parent like her. At least she's not horrible like his so-called father. I'm really curious who is making the changes to the script back in the real world. It would be interesting if the actual script is somehow writing itself as a source of fate or something and also being the real villain in the story. whoever is writing these script changes is the real villain. I kind of liked Rui at first and he did seem to have a soft spot for his brother but now he's talking about his mother? alright then.
I think my favorite kind of dramas are the ones where we have this cold, emotionally distant damaged, sometimes violent ML at first and then he falls in love with the FL and turns into this giant marshmallow so to speak XD. NH fits perfectly into the category.
I wonder if the end of ADWAD will be similar to The Romance of Tiger and Rose where both Han Shou and Qianqian go back to their real world and in the end HS's actor remembers everything of what happened in the novel world. So, it's alluded that they stay together. I know there's theories that Heng's real life version might be awake in the script too, but I don't think so at least not yet. I hope in the end he remembers everything. If they go back to their real world that is.
