I was reading Kiko Tsukino's review and I have to agree with her point that Fan Yue/Jing Yuan cared more about Bai Shou/Xing Yue than any responsibility of saving the world. And loved her more than anything else. When there's so many ML's burdened by the weight of responsibility. FY was different. It was so refreshing to have a ML like him.

aww some of my favorite characters are like this. Knowing this I'm going to love his character.

this. she looked so beautiful in MM. Her best look yet. I say the costume department were her fans because they did her justice. I've seen pics of her costumes in FEUD and um...... I don't know. She looks pretty, gorgeous in some but I feel like her look there won't bring out her beauty like MM did.

I'd say it's important because it serves an important parallel but at the same time it only really happens towards the middle til the end. The 2ML is pretty much obsessed with the FL for the first half of the series.

I love the whole OST. Fan Yue's theme by Jing Long was my favorite. It fit his character & love for Bai Shou perfectly. Jing Long's voice in that song is powerful.

According to the new trailer, their love story is darker than I thought. MM spoiled me when it comes to healthy love stories with the main cp 🤣. Still watching because I’m super excited for this. And can’t wait to see DW in his first real lead. LOTDT looks real good tho.

I saw the new trailer for Love of the Divine tree and although I’m looking forward to it the romance on there looks very dark. Have a feeling it’s similar to FEUD. At least for their first lives. Typical for Xianxia. I’ll always be grateful that MM was different and will remain unique in that. Even Xing Yue and Jing Yuan’s romance which was angstier was healthier than other Xianxia. That’s why FY and BS will always be my top couple and will be hard to beat.

I feel like both of their love stories were told exceptionally well. Even though we did need more time with Jing Yuan and Xing Yue. I’m also satisfied with what we got.

For the main couple, yes.

100%. As Xing Yue she was restricted so much, she couldn’t love, she couldn’t be free, she was weighed down with so much duty. She’d be dammed if she let that happened to her again as Bai Shou. It was like a lesson from her past self to her new life. I agree that as FY and BS they learned the heartbreaking lesson of regrets and past mistakes subsconciously. While they do have miscommunication issues in the beginning, they quickly learn to move past them, be honest. And once they become a couple those mishaps go away. I also feel like Fan Yue is so protective of Bai Shou aside from his love for her might be because he feels like he failed her in the past.
The past was a lesson to them that they took wholeheartedly.
Heaven was awful to them at least she realized how wrong she was and atoned for her mistakes.
