Don't be stressed. Chinese philosophy teaches that one needs to taste bitterness first, then comes sweetness. Oh that. Actually it depends. The Glory's setting is during the Ming Dynasty. So men wore their hairstyle differently. Furthermore, in this drama, he's a commoner, not a royal. So they worn their hairdo differently. As for this drama, I did notice in some of the scenes, he didn't look right, but I can't remember which scenes; it's not important anymore because The Glory is such an enjoyable drama 😊

Many viewers probably expected a romance with kisses all that. There's none here. The positive comments you read here are probably from viewers who like the darkside of the characters and can empathize with the characters' rage. 😊
Unpopular opinion but I didn’t see an issue with the ML’s acting 😅
Generally his acting is fine. There're only a few scenes, he looks a bit, er.... , out of place with his expressions and eye movement. Very minute and unnoticeable probably, but still, some discerning viewers noticed and pointed out 🧐

What her mother has been doing is just a front to protect fl. The mother has a plan and she doesn't want fl to get involved and get hurt. So don't take things on the surface; there's more to it.
