It's not even animation, it looks like manhua to me. I guess they do it to save cost.

I'm not a fan of Dilraba nor Leo Wu, but their acting here is so good, and their chemistry is just blasting! I'm looking at these 2 differently now. Though the story is fictional based on some historical events and figures, the fictional parts fit in so well with the historical parts. This is one of the most exciting on-going dramas for me. Love it!

Exactly what I'm thinking - Wei Wuxian's hairstyle. Actually most men have similar hairstyling with 2 strands of hair in the front, some have them longer, some shorter. Wen Kexing (Word of Honor) has them too. I think this hair styling looks so cool (hot)! Just because one person has different taste, people don't have to simply just follow that person's taste.

I think people are just following the thoughts of some YouTuber. People should have their own minds instead of simply following others without questioning. Don't follow blindly, people!

This is crazy, but why are people complaining about her 2 strands of hair? I love that look. Most men have them, and she's supposed to look like a man. What's wrong with that hair style?

Should I watch this drama? Discovered Bai Jing Ting in "Ping Pong Life". His acting is superb! Really love him as the scrawny and wimpy kid.

We all know Liu E had never had any children of her own. I can accept if the fictional Liu E has inherent fertility issues (which are very common among women) that makes her unable to conceive or having miscarriages (very common too), instead of making her so dumb in taking food from a stranger. I just can't swallow that, fictional or not :\

Yes, I love looking at such injustices in the eye, but so far, gender inequality still exists, especially in a very advanced country, like the USA. I'm dumbfounded!

Knowing how important her pregnancy is, she should have bubble-wrapped herself up, instead she takes food from a stranger. Simply dumb! Why do the writers want to make her so brilliant and at the same time make her dumb? Totally not align with her intelligence :(

Yes, quite a lot of war scenes. Very well done. Politics within the royal court as well as with Liao, showing the great diplomacy of Liu E, are fascinating to watch.

Well, attention to details takes so much effort. They even use manhua to substitute many scenes. So we can tell how much effort they want to invest into details, unfortunately. Maybe the bulk of the budget goes to the pay of the big names.
