Like you, I also like Du Lei. Inside he's not an evil person but his father makes him into one. He feels so guilty in partially causing the death of Jiang Jun's father. But his sister who is romantically in love with him, tells him to have no mercy. His father is a control freak with no heart. Whoever goes against him will end up losing everything because he (his father) is so influential. That is very frightening and Du Lei knows it. Unless he goes back to his father and becomes his army and puppet, he has to become wealthy and powerful himself to fight against his father's influence. And in that process of becoming influential himself, he'll lose a lot. Kido Gao's acting is so good!

OMG! Yes, Su Chang would borrow Yuan Shuai's apartment to show off to his girlfriend, and Yuan Shuai has to move in to live with Jiang Jun. This is cute!

- Yuan Shuai has a general anesthesia for a simple small operation because he's so frightened. I die laughing - what God of War? (he's supposed to be one) XD XD XD
- I love Gao Hanyu and his acting. He really brings out the tormented soul in Du Lei. Amazing!
- I love it when Bai Lu becomes a badass, reminds me of Lu Zhao Yao in The Legends.

No love triangles. Both are warm and light hearted :)

I've always wondered, after they cut a drama, does the team carefully go through everything, as they're supposed to, before releasing the drama? I'm sure they do, but usually not thorough enough. I can imagine their time constraint. Currently, they are only looking at quantity and not quality. What a pity! The c-drama market could have been so much better.

Yeah, it's true that Jiang Jun is the main culprit for the introduction. But at the same time, she couldn't deal with Xu Li's consistent pleading which is really annoying, so she caves in and provides the contact. I guess they have to make Jiang Jun intelligent but trusting in the beginning so that she can grow to become more discerning in the later episodes.

Unwittingly, she introduces Yuan Shuai's nemesis to Li Xiao Chuan and now Du Lei is funding Li Xiao Chuan's project. Yuan Shuai is going to be pissed.

For Joy of Life, there are a lot of uncertainties about the next 2 seasons because Xiao Zhan is now super famous. Nobody knows if they would change the cast. I would suggest, just start with season 1 now. You won't regret it.

The only thing is, it's a cliff-hanger. There are two more seasons to be released, hopefully within the next 4 years. Adapted from a novel, which is a super long one.

Yes, Joy of Life is one of the best. Everything is intelligent, not many visible plot holes. Everything is layered but clear. Must watch!

You're so right about the drama being two different dramas. I was so confused when I first started the series. I thought it was a rom-com which obviously not (or is it?) Too tired trying to make sense of these dramas anymore.

Yeah, the Xu Li character is like an iron pot (as in the story of iron and clay pots), getting people into trouble whenever she bumps into them. She's going to get Yuan Shuai very annoyed once he finds out what she has done with his cousin.

Exactly as what @asian_things said - they don't want the parents to feel guilty and heart-broken. The parents initially think she had lost the baby when she's hurt. Seeing them being so devastated, they tell them that the baby is safe.
