I have been watching both and so far I prefer Love And Destiny. Although I really love the female leads from both…
Yes, I had an issue with Ye Hua too when he failed Su Su and what he did to her. His only redemption was, he had remorse, and tried hard to make it up. That works for me. :)
Juuuuust checking in with mah beautiful Suibians. The times are kinda shitty but we do have this masterpiece to…
Hello, hello beautiful, hope you're sheltering well in place. I've been watching a ton of dramas so that I could tune out from the crazy news out there. Here are some of my favorites (mostly all Chinese historical): 1. Love of Thousand Years (on-going) 2. Wu Xin 3 (on-going) 3. The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (on-going) 4. Miss Truth (just finished) plus a few more
ML's face is so long, reminds me of a shoe. Have to drop it.
They measured his face, actually it's not long, just normal, but the face is thin, so gives the illusion of being long. He's actually a very good looking man. Maybe historical hairstyle (with all the hair pinned back) doesn't suit him so well. The story itself is pretty interesting with various different male leads.
It's been months and I still think about this drama. Check out my review https://cinemadejoei.blog/2019/06/26/2019-c-drama-you-dont-want-to-miss-day-2/…
I know. For me, it's been more than 1 year since it aired, and I still can't forget how I had felt while watching and after watching this drama. It's a wonderful drama that can capture our emotions like this. BTW, love your blog/review. Keep up the good work!
I'm scared to start this drama from all the comments and it's tagged tragedy s well :'/
It's a wonderful drama - good acting, good story, good production, good OSTs. But it can haunt you for awhile after you finish watching. It did for me. The only way to move on is to find another good drama like The Untamed (which saved me) but I see you've already watched it. Also try to watch the uncut version. It explains better for the whole thing that shapes the characters. Enjoy!
For a first timer of wuxia/chinese historical dramas, would you recommend this? I want to try it because of the…
For new viewers who have never watched a xianxia (Chinese fantasy) story before, maybe you first want to familiarize yourself with some terms and concepts before you start watching this drama. Here's a good place to go for great reading: https://immortalmountain.wordpress.com/glossary/wuxia-xianxia-xuanhuan-terms/ Enjoy!
Now that I'm rewatching I keep thinking hat LZ and WWX's fighting scenes in the beginning is their way of flirting…
That's the feelings I get too - flirting around. I've always felt they're like love-at-first-sight though both don't know it at the time. They definitely have feelings for each other when they first meet at the entrance, or else LZ wouldn't have waited for WY to return at that hour (LZ should have been in bed by then normally). WY likes to use his womanizing face to show he's a straight. LZ uses his strict teaching to show it's impossible for him (to fall for another man). Despite some viewers say LZ doesn't like WY initially, I feel LZ likes WY a lot but uses anger to cover himself, even the older Lan brother says so cryptically (that LZ likes WY). Yeah, it's love-at-first-sight. :D
It has its moments and parts of it are quite witty and funny and technically it is extremely well shot but the…
You're right! I'm rather enjoying this one. With the shelter-in-place order, I've been indulging in watching dramas all day and tuning out from all the upsetting news, especially from you-know-who :D
"My only complaint is the hairstyles." Hahaha! The hair styles in this drama are considered pretty good. Wait…
I'm more or less used to how they look with their hair pinned back like that. But I can't get over how Ren Jialun looks with his small face and super large wig, making his head look very weird. He looks a lot better in this series though. :D

Yeah, the chasing game, jokes etc - all pretty Jackie Chan. I'm not a big fan of Jackie either - only occasional watching with the family. For me, family time is more important, not the shows :)
If you've not finished this series yet, prepare more boxes of tissues. :D
The author Mò xiāng tóngchòu is such an amazing writer. Her stories can be so funny and humorous and yet she can bring out our tears easily. Kudos to that!
1. Love of Thousand Years (on-going)
2. Wu Xin 3 (on-going)
3. The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty (on-going)
4. Miss Truth (just finished)
plus a few more
Stay safe!
