Agree, I also feel the last 4 episodes not as well written as the previous episodes, probably also because our beloved Devil is weakened, and never back to his former self again. Heck! He didn't even regain his hellfire. I was hoping he gets all his power back and blasts the hell out of Heaven XD

Yes, I want to see his hellfire back too. He looks the coolest when he's a bad boy with all the powers. That's so satisfying. Many Chinese dramas tend to tone down the badass characters at the end for "growth". I wish they don't do that. I wish DFQC is still as badass, but to protect and to love.

When DFQC tries to nurture XLH back, you can see all the things he does, his care and yearning for her. But here, I don't feel the yearning at all from XLH. They could have made some scenes of her going back to all the places they have been together, imagining all the joy they have with each other, etc. and making the viewers see how much she yearns for him. Instead, we get an abrupt, "I'm back". What a killjoy!

At least like, she goes to the bridge and finds him standing there, ... or something. Why "I'm back"? We all can see him there, of course he's back. Why repeat? Make something more romantic.

Definitely! Some smart writers need to create other tropes. I'm also sick of the repetitive xian xia romances. If not for the hot actors, I don't think I would have enjoyed this show so much XD XD XD

Do you see Yunzhong replaced by Chang He? It seems Chang He is better suited as the Emperor because he's peace loving and sensible.

I guess the Chinese xian xia gives us everything we want in the mortal world (like love, wealth, power), but with immortal bodies (youth, longevity). Just like the mortal world, when we crave for power, we have wars, even as immortals. It is totally different from the Greek mythology where the emphasis is more on, ahem, sex (?) XD.

I see a happy ending if Chang Heng becomes the Emperor of Heavens and Dan Yin his Empress. Hence there'll be peace and no need for the Xi Yun Goddess to protect the realm, so she can return to Xiao Lan Hua and continue her romance with the cute Dark Lord :D
