Is it because of the subs that have not properly conveyed the dialogs and Qian Wei's motives in everything she does when she goes back in time? The whole drama is very funny, and yet very touching too when it comes to family. The acting is very natural and the characters are lovely. If you don't like Wu Jinyan in Yanxi Palace, I'm not surprised you won't like her here. Indeed this is a torturous drama for me if not because the costumes are so aesthetically beautiful and Xu Kai looks very nice in them, I would have dropped it long ago. The plot is really crappy :D
