I don't think she is truly mad at him. In fact I feel she is pleased because he is treating her as equal and wants to share his company with her, that means a lot, like he is taking her as his most important person, and a partner.

First 20 episodes, they are together but keep fighting. That's the most enjoyable part. After episode 20, they are more or less "pretend to be" together. After episode 22 or so, they are "for sure" together, but still with SML lingering there :)

Indeed such practice of killing concubines who have never been pregnant was brutal and inhumane. As a period that indulged in Confucianism, we can see how flawed the system was. Women were treated like properties of men.
