Zheng Yecheng is not bad. I don't like Li Yifeng's acting that much though (sorry fans, not being disrespectful); I wish his eyes don't shift so much :D
I love this series so much. I love both the ML and the FL. The dialogues are so funny. Everything is actually quite serious, and yet very funny. The FL is so inspiring.

@Kiara, @Felice, you both are right that these two dramas are not comparable because they are of different genre. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching the other drama. I just feel the pace is too draggy there, especially with Li Yifeng's acting (sorry fans), and there are too many repetitive scenes like, he saves her and he goes into coma. This has been done multiple times, and each time he saves her (I like it, but ...), I go, "oh boy, here we go again." Whereas for this drama (The Autumn Ballad), it gives me the adrenaline run :)
In The Legend of the Phoenix, it was my first drama of Jeremy Tsui and I didn't like him very much in the beginning. But 10 episodes in, megod! I fell head over toe for him. He is good! He has a very unique gaze that you don't know it's good or evil.
For me, this series is definitely better than Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities because the pace for this drama (The Autumn Ballad) is very good, whereas for Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities is so slow that I even doze off :|
Also, male lead smolders so much it's attractive and female lead is so upfront about things it's refreshing.
Yep! That's what I love about the FL, so upfront, without beating around the bush which I hate because that can create a lot of misunderstandings, troupes in C-dramas. I love her "a-pain-in-the-a**" style. Makes me feel good when she gives people the on-your-face stuff :D
