Yes, the saving grace for me about Li Yifeng is rather similar to yours - I like his strong, evilish style, especially when he descends from the sky unannounced, that's when I know the day is saved with his arrival :D

You brought up the temple scene etc, I can't help but comment about Su Mo's interchangeable white and black hair. One moment his hair is white, another it's black again. It's so random that I was laughing my head off XD XD XD.

It's such a pity that they've cut all the wrong places. They should have joined between the scenes better, cut the gaps between conversations, and all those long do nothing moments. If they have done their editing properly from the beginning, they could have easily trimmed the drama down to 40 episodes without sacrificing the important scenes for the ending.

Yeah, can't believe Su Nou just comes and goes like that, as if he has never existed. What a waste of the character.

Great story of compassion, selflessness and brotherhood. Very touching and funny. Fun drama to watch!

Yes, the news of ML's death is in the last 3 minutes of the last episode. The angry mob is about the bad company that is trying to buy up Mayang Street and cheats the people. ML works in that bad company as a police undercover. His cover is blown and he's killed. The wedding scene is the wedding of their close friends. About 6 minutes before the end that says year 2000, it shows the FL and SML married with a child, and a police officer knocks on the door and gives FL a police officer's uniform and hat, that's when they find out that ML was an officer and is dead. Then the end of the drama.

FL and SML and everyone else found out that he's an undercover police many years later after he had died. The police kept this news for many years so no one knew what had happened to him. Everyone thought he was a bad dude and no one really cared where he had gone. Though sad, this is supposed to be a true story as according to the SML.

Yes, I love this villain YL too. I like very strong, vile and nasty villain, so in the end when the villain perishes, we get a sigh of relief and feel that justice is being served. I don't like, at times, they redeem the villains and make them repent and become good. That would become so boring. I hope YL perishes in the end, still mean and nasty, and unremorseful :D

Love how you put the couple together. Now it looks like a rom-com because they are so funny when they are together XD XD XD
