Someone without job at that age is concerning. Might have other issue in the future (bad habits like gambling, drinking..) often starts from having ‘too much free time’, being unemployed. So QS being single might be better off, in my perspective.

Agree with you @yellowfruit. QS’s mom makes sense to me and I understand where she comes from. Her daughter cant afford to take a break from work / be sick / take long maternity leave coz her husband has no job, no house,… money is not everything. YH is independent financially if he is single but to get married, he is not good enough. It also makes sense for her to set that tone with the in-law so her in-law does not look down on her daughter. Like YH’s guy frenz said, it is like free lunch. It must be culture and generation, that some people feel QS’s mom is crazy 😛
