Okay just, first things first: This post is not meant to be condescending or anything like that, it's meant to…
I'll have to admit though, I did not look any of it up so I may have messed up somewhere XD This is how I came to understand it (also from etymology to certain degree; prequel is made up of pre and quel. Pre comes from prae and means "before" in latin, quel can be traced back to qualis in latin which means "which"). To a native English speaker, which I am not, there might be distinctions beyond just the internal chronology of a storyline. Maybe what I would call a prequel is not considered one by others, I don't know. But at least it's a starting point.
Funfact: sequel apparantly doesn't share a direct etymological root with prequel. It's root apparantly is the latin verb sequi, which means "to follow"
Watch the sequel too! Xiao Zhan is absolutely AMAZING. Also I loved Douluo Continent a healthy amount. Seriously…
Okay just, first things first: This post is not meant to be condescending or anything like that, it's meant to be informative and explain the terms sequel and prequel bc OP (accidentally?) misused sequel in your comment, which can be very confusing for people unfamiliar with Soul Land/Douluo Dalu.
Douluo Continent is the prequel to TLOW (albeit not directly, TLOW follows the Donghua storyline for but picks off about where DC left off; DC doesn't really follow the Donghua storyline, except for some of the overarching plot, and especially not in details)
So, technically DC is a prequel to TLOW because the storyline of DC happens before the storyline of TLOW, and TLOW is a sequel to DC because the storyline of TLOW happens after the storyline of DC.
The terms prequel and sequel very much depend on the point of reference. So let's say we have three seperate adaptions whose storylines are chronologically ordered as 1, 2, 3. Taking 1 as the reference point, 2 is the sequel, 3 could technically be seen as a sequel too ig but personally I'd consider it an indirect sequel bc there's another one in between. Taking 2 as the reference point, 1 is the prequel and 3 is the sequel. Taking 3 as the reference point, 2 is the prequel and 1 technically the prequel of the prequel (and after that it kinda gets really messy so I'd again go for indirect prequel).
Might be a stupid question bc yes, I could look it up myself, but are there any actors from S1 in S2 as well?…
at least most of them seem like they actually fit the role. Gotta say, I like the cast for most of the Seven Devils a lot (Ma Hongjun didn't really appear much yet so idk)
there's a couple of shows on the list that weren't aired in 2023 or 2024
Thank you, I'm removing everything not from the 2020s right now, didn't notice it because I was on Holidays, probably will have to do that every couple of weeks... But everything from 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 is allowed <3

I feel the need to explain why I added Angel's Last Mission: Love :) While there are no school teachers, there are two instances where there's a ballet teacher and their pupil(s): Elena and Geum Ni Na, Geum Ni Na and her young ballet students.
would Angel's Last Mission: Love count? The female main is blind in the beginning bc of an accident but gets a cornea transplant relatively early on...
Really nicie review! I agree that it's a decent movie if someone wants a Fast and Furious Zombie edition, and…
Thank you! I absolutely agree with you, though I never watched Fast and Furious, I think the comparison is quite fitting from what I heard about those movies :)
Just finished Ep. 20: So far I gotta say, the two only reasons I'm still watching it are that firstly, I'm on the translating team on viki and secondly, I'm knitting on while watching. I haven't knitted for about 10 years, I'm focusing more on that than on the plot and the plot still manages to annoy me. I just hope these misunderstandings fly out of the window soon because otherwise I'm honestly not sure of I manage to get through this.

Quite honestly, I think in the case of The Untamed I'd prefer a sequel in the broader sense, focusing more on other characters. For example, I personally would be really interested in the younger Generation and Jiang Cheng. And I gotta admit, I think it would also be interesting if there was something focused on (a) smaller clan(s) because we haven't really learned much about them so far.
I'm on ep 6 and get bored. Which ep will get better? Anyone can recommend some dramas as good as long ballad or…
What kind of reasoning is that? Just because they don't shove it in your face it's not as good? You clearly never read the novel or you'd know that they just made it REALLY subtle.

Handmaiden sounds interesting, I might give it a try.
For me, it really depends with sad endings. Sometimes I feel like it's necessary because of the rest of the drama/movie, but I generally prefer happy endings. Word of Honor, as I remember it, does have a satisfying ending, but the epilogue (episode 37) is very important for it.
Douluo Continent will definitely have a happy ending, you don't need to worry about that. It just depends on where they cut off the seasons... and if I'm guessing correctly (which I hope I don't) the next season cut is going to be shortly after the scene where I bawled my eyes out when I watched the Donghua. But that also depends on how closely they're going to follow the novel.
