Wow... I started watching this drama around March, time sure flies. I honestly enjoyed it more during the first…
“Where my Beomsoo and Seri shippers at” here! and still struggling to clock out 🤧
Totally agree with the first half being miles better than the second half. It truly felt like a different show back then.
I also screamed when they kissed, but then got mad at how poorly filmed & directed the kiss was LOL. Nevermind how unromantic the proposal was, can’t believe they were standing so far apart and he didn’t grab her hand or anything, but I think that was the writer subconsciously sabotaging their relationship until the very end even after eliminating their problems. They deserved a better final scene together as a couple. I still hold them very near and dear to my heart though because I love them so much 😭
Anyway, it was nice to see another fellow shipper in the midst of all the chaos. Hope you enjoy the next drama just as much! 🫶🏻
"Despite its flaws here and there..."Perfect phrase, Nexe. Despite its flaws, we still enjoyed it!
Haha that scene was great too, so many emotions and their chemistry was oozing, but the scene I was referring to was in episode 49(?) the reunion after Seri took a pause on their relationship. If only the hugs were directed like that, it would’ve been satisfying to watch.

Same! I was surprised because they actually do have chemistry. The way they interact and even when they’re just standing next to each other. The way he looks at her and vice versa. They were just victims of poor writing and directing. I can tell the actors did their very best with what they had to work with. I doesn’t help that their scenes were incredibly short too compared to the other couples, they don’t get to have much dialogue or time to emote.
I also don’t understand why the writer kept pushing the student/professor thing even after she wrote Seri dropping out. The writer should have changed the storyline from episode 35 as their relationship would have a whole new meaning.
I didn’t really follow this drama for the main leads so I don’t really have that many feelings towards how the actors played their characters. Chairman and Kwangsook were okay for the middle aged couple they were, I just didn’t enjoy how pushy the Chairman was.

It’s strange to me but from what I heard, a majority of them loved Seri and Beomsoo’s relationship, so idk if they were really against it. It felt like the writer AND director sabotaged their relationship by still having Seri call him professor even after she dropped out and was no longer his student 19 episodes ago.
I can’t think of any other reason too because the actor & actress are comfortable with each other irl so it’s definitely just the writer and director’s fault. I do think they had one really good scene and that was when they rekindled after the very short breakup. The scene was well written and the directing was good. They hugged really tight. Did they have a temp director that day? 😂

Agree with you about the hug. Yoon Park and Seulki definitely get along well as shown in Uhm Jiwon’s recent vlog, so the awkward hugs were definitely a director choice with how he interpreted the script.
Nobody asked for my thoughts, but I’m going to say them anyway since I need to cleanse myself from this attachment. I apologise in advance for how lengthy this post is. This will probably be my last time ever communicating in this forum.
What a wild ride it has been with this drama. 6 months ago, a clip landed on my tiktok fyp and I saw that Yoon Park was starring in it and I was intrigued. Then I read about what the drama was about and when it said ‘family’ I was like heck yeah this is about to be my hyperfixation for months to come. I love the found family trope so much, the Eagle brothers and Kwangsook really felt like a real life family and it was heartbreaking to say goodbye to them. I think I genuinely became so emotionally attached to them, even Heungsoo who I despised for having so much screentime over Beomsoo and Kangsoo. I don’t want to be all negative as I am trying to detach myself from such a hyperfixation but while I did enjoy the drama mostly, I am painfully disappointed at the wasted potential this drama had in the other aspects, especially since watching it from it’s earlier stages till now.
As I did watch it for Yoon Park initially, I do hold Beomsoo very near and dear to my heart. I truly think Beomsoo was the true MVP of this drama. He wasn’t loud nor showy with his actions but he slowly but surely fixed every problem with his kind heart. He fixed Seri’s relationship with her mother, kangsoo and his mother as well as the longtime feud between the two families. He doesn’t get as much recognition as Kwangsook does. I also think he deserved a better love story with Seri, and I don’t think they needed to go through as many hardships as they did only for their rl to be accepted in the 40th minute of the very last episode. I think the writer overcomplicated their story, was very ambitious with it but then neglected it after episode 34 as they had too much on their plate, so it was painful to watch but now it’s even more painful to say goodbye at what could’ve been.
The combination of questionable writing and directing made their relationship fall flat but I still really loved them as they always had me giggling everytime they’d talk or they’d look at each other. They were so cute together, which is why I will forever mourn the what ifs. There’s always fanfic, but it’s not the same as there was such a pleasant casting of two people, and 54 episodes to showcase their match on screen, but the writer nor the director seized such opportunity.
On another note, it would’ve been nice if the extended 4 eps focused on Kwangsook helping the brothers with their love lives since she got her happily ever after in episode 50, but we can’t always get what we want.
While the family trope was done fairly well, my greedy self still wanted and hoped for more and I think the extended 4 eps contributed to that. We deserved more screentime to see Beomsoo and Kangsoo’s bond as they shared the greatest one out of all the brothers. My ideal ending would have been all the brothers married and the whole entire family (including the wives) join them in their morning exercise. We were also robbed of a final Beomsoo, Seri, and Hani scene and I don’t think i’ll ever forgive the writer for giving them such a rushed, poorly written & directed proposal scene as their final scene together as a couple after everything they went through to be together (No ILY’s is crazy considering all the hardship they endured). Still, I’m grateful he got his happily ever after with his girls although I wish we got even just the tiniest glimpse of it through a family portrait or something It’s such a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to such an adorable family like the Eagle family and I will miss them and this drama a whole lot.
I also started watching it for Yoon Park but the drama ended yesterday and my overall thoughts are – don’t even bother with it tbh. Even though he is a main in this drama, his character along with the youngest brother gets sidelined a lot for the dancer brother. Was really excited because oh beomsoo seemed like a really good role for him but the writer for this drama really didn’t deliver as I had hoped. If you want to watch for just him I suggest you get a kocowa subscription so you can easily skip to his parts, because that’s what I did 😂
Chairman’s daughter? Do you mean Han Bom? I think that would be Kangsoo and not Beomsoo…
Haha yeah, I also wished they used the extended 4 eps to focus on Kangsoo. He is extremely underrated as a character, I think he should’ve gotten more screentime over Heungsoo. But yeah, I will always advocate for more screentime for Kangsoo and also Beomsoo, his character also has very limited screentime even though his storylines are quite vast and complicated. I find the two younger Oh brothers and their love stories much more interesting than the older Oh brothers. Shame that the writer prioritised the older brothers and sister in law more…
in some of these dramas [ long-family-everyday-etc] , there are always messages /guidance/manipulation/etc , for…
This exact thing happened to Dandan in young lady and gentleman (another weekender), in fact she was actually forcibly locked in a room and was not allowed out because she was in love with the chairman and didn’t want to leave him. Mind you she was pushing thirty and the adults treated her like she was 16 years old
I just saw the preview...She's pregnant? I'm actually annoyed by that. She didn't seem like she wanted kids but…
Writer ran out of things for them so she decided to add in a nonsensical plot 😂 writer also forgot that she has a billion other characters with storylines that desperately need to be wrapped up but I guess she was too ambitious with the bajillion storylines and couldn’t finish what she started 😭
Heavy on the last part!! I don’t know why the writer felt it was necessary to have the sister in law’s bicker. So much of that screentime could’ve gone to the younger oh brothers. I expected pregnancy too but only because the writer wants to give more unecessary plots to the main leads so they remain with the most screentime.
Can’t even imagine if they have family outings. I’m laughing just thinking about the fact that she will probably have to tell people the twins are her children and not grandchildren 😭😂
This writer should have just used these remaining four eps to allow the newlyweds to bask in their newlywed bliss. The other brothers (Beomsoo and Kangsoo) need more screentime for their storylines and now it seems like the last two eps will be all about Kwangsook and her geriatric pregnancy 😂Poor Kwangsook, don’t think she has ever expressed the desire to be a mom, but would you look at that lol she’s going to be a mother AND she’s got two hella grown stepkids 😂
Eagle Brothers has become this BLAH boring drama, ep 51 made me do some analysisjust a few minutes of really excellent…
MilicaB, I think it would have been best if you dropped the drama 10 episodes ago seeing as to how you are constantly negative about the show, it’s characters, and their actors/actresses 😅It’s not worth the emotional distress as there are probably other shows out there that will cater to your needs much more.
What a beautiful wedding!Chun Su's vocals are really good. Is he a singer?Ha Ni is so adorable! Can't wait for…
The actor is in musical theatre and has been active in that field for a while!
I hope all that hinting in the preview isn’t just misleading us and we actually get a wedding even if it’s the most miniscule one. They deserve all the happiness after all they’ve been through to be together. Imagining Hani as the ring bearer for her dad’s wedding day makes me emotional 🥹🤧
Only 7 minutes into ep 50 and I'm already getting annoyed. Are KS and DS going to argue about every little thing?
They have to get screentime somehow right? 😂literally they could’ve been using that time to show more lovey dovey moments between them instead of the constant back and fourth petty nonsense. Otherwise, give the screentime to the couples who need it! LOL
Ok, this episode was ok. I guess the writers want to convince everyone that GS wants to marry DS, so they had…
I actually think their hug last night was much better than their previous ones. Of course the actress is still a little awkward, but at least it looks like the actor is putting in more effort, I liked how tight he hugged her at the end. They kinda have a big height difference so maybe that’s why their hugs are awkward, but this is a big improvement imo
