Bae Nara carried this show even though his character got like 2 mins of screentime. We deserved to see him live out a happy ending after all of his hardships because wdym his character went to prison as one of his last scenes?!? Yeah he got out but the implications of him having to even serve time and ending up with a criminal record bothers me like no other. He finally had someone in his corner after being alone for most of his life in the shackles of his corrupt boss, unfortunately the writer wasted his chemistry with Shin Seulki and I wish we got closure on their characters’ blossoming relationship from absolute strangers to friends to lovers 💔Even though it made sense for their storyline to end the way it did, my greedy self still wanted a more obvious display of romance 🥲

I definitely agree that their potential was wasted by not having them progress to romance status however I do think their deep conversations showcased another level of intimacy and chemistry that I craved for. They didn’t need to kiss or hug but I could tell they still liked each other deeply (I still needed that hug/kiss though don’t get me wrong) 😆. That being said I still despise this writer for not giving us a more straight-forward sign that they veered into romance territory, such as a short scene of him leaving prison and jinkyung greeting him with a hug saying she missed him or something 🥹😭instead we got various scenes of the toxic ex and his crazy family

Yeah I don’t understand the writer and her intentions. Why couldn’t she just play out the romantic part of the rom-com fantasy and allow pda for both couples? I personally think sanghyun and jinkyung ended up together because their last exchange of looks were nothing short of firty. I mean they both got so shy, it was so cute. The ending was definitely rushed because the writer realised she had too much on her plate after prioritising the most unnecessary plot points.

I have beef with this writer. What a waste of two interesting second leads, whose screentime got thrown into the ocean for annoying, abusive, and toxic ex boyfriends, uncles, aunties etc.

I just saw a clip on twitter of jinkyung volunteering at an orphanage and seeing sanghyun visiting as well. I would rather watch his backstory than to keep watching meri’s annoying ass ex who keeps harassing her.

The second leads feel more like supporting characters at this point. How disappointing.

This show is already so unserious so I am still rooting for the second lead couple even though we can all see that she isn’t over the male lead lmao. Idc if it’s unrealistic that she falls for the second lead, this whole show is unrealistic in itself anyways 🤭

Honestly who the hell cares. We all know he’s not her man, no need to get worked up over that. She’s obviously liked him for a long time and it will take her a while to forget about it. She knows now that a romantic relationship is not in the cards anymore but damn is it illegal to still care for someone? Honestly, I even think the friendship is one sided anyway. From last nights ep we see that she goes above and beyond for him but what exactly has he done for her?

I can’t believe the writer is writing her character like this. The potential for her to fall for the director is right there and they want her to continue to be broken hearted over someone who never wanted her. My poor girl, I hope things look up for her in tmr’s ep. 😭Mr. Director pls make a move!!

Really thought this would be like business proposal where the second leads would get a decent amount of screentime out of being plot devices for the main leads but unfortunately, they are just plot devices. Such a shame that the screentime is wasted on the toxic and abusive ex and his shenanigans when there could be more focus on the second leads. Anyway I hope they get a happy ending. It will suck if they don’t end up together because the potential is there and it’s beautiful, but if they don’t, oh well. I can just rewatch their 5 mins of screentime each ep aka the microscopic crumbs 🫠

Unpopular opinion but I think a lot of people are so quick to throw pitchforks at a woman if she’s written to have an unrequited crush but if it were a man, things would be way different and they’d be rooting for him to ruin the main leads’ relationship

Ik we all have our opinions but like how is she ruining what the ML wants? His main objective has been Meri and Meri only. The writer is clearly using the SFML as a plot device which is only making the ML and FL’s relationship stronger

Yeah I agree with the second leads. It’s a shame they’re only there to help the main leads move the plot forward even though as second leads they are both interesting together and individually. Still have a little hope that they will jumpstart the slightest hint of a romance in the next two eps.

Agree. I also hate that everyone is treating her like she’s on the same level of villainous as meri’s ex. Sure she may come of as selfish and insensitive but she ALWAYS feels bad about what she does afterwards. I will move petty since everone is moving petty. If it weren’t for her the main couple wouldn’t have progressed the way they did 😗
