Eh, we can agree to disagree. She overstepped her boundaries but she genuinely meant well. Once her told her off she cooled down on that sort of behaviour. She gets blamed for not saying ‘no’ to marrying gyeol but why don’t the parents get blamed for pushing a marriage their precious daughter doesn’t want? she was just being an obedient daughter. Once she realised her feelings for someone else she told her parents, and what did they do? acted like bloody fools. Okbun did way worse than Seri but what do I know 🤷🏽

Currently watching another weekender that involves a ‘young’ lady who is almost pushing thirty but still getting treated as a high school student and it really reminded me of how the adults in this drama treated a 27 year old dan dan like she was a teenage girl without her own thoughts and feelings. Sigh, when will writers stop pushing this narrative in their dramas??

I’ve been tossing about my feelings for this drama and i’m torn between feeling sad that it’s ending because parts of the story didn’t turn out as I had hoped and sad because the story is also kind of good for it to end…. does that make sense? such a bittersweet feeling. This is why I can’t get attached to dramas, anyone feel the same?

Yeah, after the break up of the main couple, the show’s ratings haven’t been all that good. The actress is definitely more of a professional though, still does her very best job on screen because she is paid to do so, but the actor? not so much. 😅

It is a cop drama, called ‘The Rookie’ the most popular couple are named Tim and Lucy. Actor and Actress is Eric and Melissa. There is currently a lot of speculation about why the couple in the show broke up and many suspect it’s because of his wife 😬she has not talked about the show in a positive light, nor does she actually watch it to support her husband (she barely even knows what he does on the show 😂) but yeah, the actor and actress barely interact online now, and they attend conventions for the show but stay far apart from each other. This past season of the show the main couple has been showing no chemistry and it’s obvious coming from the actor and then when the couple broke up it became obvious to fans why. Wife is also in the acting aindustry and is a model.

Haha that’s why I said ‘Kinda’ 😅 but I already had a feeling the director is telling the actors to be more conservative especially with beomsoo and seri’s story so I agree with you there. I was just trying to convince myself there were other factors as there is this similar issue with a western drama’s most popular couple and it’s actors 😅

He did actually, I think it’s called Cinderella at 2AM which came out last year. He was the second lead in that drama and played Park Sojin’s (Singer from Girls Day) love interest. They shared a kiss scene and he looked comfortable in that drama, but I also found out that they were in a previous drama together as well 😂most of his love interests in his previous dramas are older (the actresses) think EB is the first drama where his scene partner/love interest is significantly younger. Not to sound crazy or anything but Seulki (Seri’s actress) kind of resembles his wife LOL 😭

It could probably explain why people are saying there is no chemistry between Beomsoo and Seri as Beomsoo’s actor is married irl. Still though, he’s done romantic scenes in the past, even played FL’s husband in another drama AND kissed her. Not to start any rumours but I suspect it may be a jealous wife thing as Seri’s actress is young and quite popular on social media due to her appearance on singles inferno.

It’s been so long and by now she should be fully all in with this man, otherwise she’s just wasting his and everybody’s time 😂😭we only have 6 episodes left, and I’ll genuinely be upset if they waste more time showing her wishy washyness instead of focusing on the storylines that matter more right now 😭this drama is called for eagle brothers, shouldn’t she be helping her brothers in law right now? LMAO

And for the love of god, there better be no more problems with the main leads. She needs to get her shit together and stop acting so oblivious about this marriage proposal. He loves you, you love him, done deal. Get married and stop taking more screentime for stupid nonsense. The remaining episodes SHOULD focus on the 4th and 5th eagle brother, otherwise it will just be obvious where the writer’s priorities lie 😤

No offence to the other storylines/couples, but if Beomsoo and Seri don’t get like 90% of the screentime in the upcoming eps I’m going to be so peeved. How do you write such a massive and complicated storyline and not be bothered to put much care into it? You have to start what you finish and give it a satisfying ending! I have very little hope that the writer will get them back together with sincerity and have it feel earned but I’ve already invested too much of my time into this storyline so I’ll watch it anyway regardless 😂😭

Yeah because why have they not interacted at all after that whole birth secret reveal? They’re supposed to be family!! It’s ironic to me because I’m feeling like the writer doesn’t do a very good job with this found family trope. Everyone seems to be disconnected in a way. Bom hasn’t interacted with Seri since she ran away, and they’re supposed to he childhood besties….

I think they just added the piano part because Seri’s actress irl went to university for piano and is really good at it 😂but yeah, I think they should’ve elevated her character a bit more so that it doesn’t look like there’s such an imbalance between her and Beomsoo. How are they going to have Hani’s deadbeat mom be more well put together than Seri, Beomsoo’s love interest? I am convinced the writer has Seri as an afterthought LOL

No, I don’t think racism is the correct term 😅It’s okay if it’s his niche, but when it takes over other characters and their screentime it gets very annoying, especially when other characters have much better stories and are getting sidelined for his story. If they wanted to watch dancing, they would’ve turned on inkigayo or something 😂

Sorry to interrupt but, I agree. EB did have a lot of potential to be a good family drama, but it seems like the writer has used juvenile writing for very heavy tropes. Should’ve stuck with simple tropes if this was going to be the case with the writing. 😩

I think the writer just had too much on his/her hands with five or so couples to write. They should’ve spent more time and put more care into writing Beomsoo and Seri’s storyline as these two have the most complicated yet important storyline with the family history stuff. Instead, it feels like they got put on the back burner because the writer started something they couldn’t finish all while they went on to write the main leads’s story and dancer brother’s story. Main lead story should not be as difficult as it is but ofc they need to be taking 95% of the screentime. Dancer brother’s storylines was a complete utter waste of time and I’ll forever be salty about it 😤
