I think so. The OG one is unexpectedly popular despite being a low budget drama and fans demand for 2nd season, so maybe the production team or platform wanted to get this moment to make more money by hurriedly posting official announcement for 2nd season. They didn't think further about the possibility of casts getting busier and more higher-budget projects especially the main casts and the difficulty to adjust their schedule.
So now they're trying to delay the time and not post any update in hope to decrease the hype. After the fans realize they won't get the OG cast and production team and expect the least from it, they'll post update with the the entire new casts.
Anyway that's all my OWN theory😂😅 I don't know what really happen but yeah my expectation about the 2nd season with the OG team is almost zero🥲

Yes, I really admire her hard work. But the most important thing is she seems to enjoy acting and being in filming site, she basically doing what she loves. I read somewhere that she didn't really wish to be popular, she only wished she could be filming at least one drama every year. I guess she doesn't waste her chance when the opportunity comes for her. I really love women who's working hard and living their life equally hard🙌😄

Couldn't be more agree! Last season I shipped Orange and Ma, but I also admired Kong's effort who bravely expressed her feeling to Ma. AB's biased comment triggered the shippers from respective CP ( both from Orange-Ma CP & Kong-Ma CP) throwing hate to the three of them.

I think Lingyi more like already suspected that LBY would do something on his birthday banquet.
First, LBY always reject all invitations that sent to him by Marquis/Marquise Chengyang, he has refused to come to Chengyang Manor eventhough the emperor asked him to go. If LBY being forced to come, he would suddenly come and without notice. But that day when they came to LBY Manor to invite him on Lingyi's birthday banquet, LBY was easily agree to come. So I think it triggered his suspicion that LBY had any hidden intention.
Second, LBY's investigation about Gu City tragedy is up to the point that he was one step away to know the real culprit. As long as Pengkun willing to confess then LBY would have complete evidences to expose Lingyi's crime. LBY even did 'private investigation' to make Pengkun confess all the name that involved in this case. Unfortunately Pengkun died and LBY in rage accused him openly that he was the one who killed Pengkun. It gave a hint to Lingyi that maybe LBY already knew that he was involved and Pengkun would be the witness and living proof. So when he killed Pengkun, he knew that LBY would come to him sooner or later.

Based on the synopsis here, I'm grateful that the plot wouldn't be like the novel. I dropped the novel because I feel like the FL is actually clever but become stupid if it comes to the ML and the ML is just complete rub**sh.
