is it gloomy or comedic?
I would describe it as gothic with a big dose of dark humor

Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
i hope there is a good explanation for the fact that she was the only colorful person in his past and he touched…
>>Like how could he return to a moment that never happened?<<

In this universe time is apparently like a line that stretches to infinity in both directions. Everything that will ever happen is happening somewhere along that timeline. So his future self could return to the past because it was already happening while the present and past events are happening. It's also a time loop paradox where a past event prompts a future event that leads back to trigger the past event.

Actually very surprised to see that a lot of people did not like the show so far. I think it's doing great as…
I expected it to be funnier especially because Go Kyung Pyo was hilarious in Love in Contract. But the pacing is way off. It feels like there's a lot of dead air and parts where nothing much is happening and it's just not interesting. Things get better when the 2ML interacts with the leads so I hope the show picks up eventually.

I want to like this drama but the editing & pacing are way off. It feels very flat which is the opposite of what you want with this premise. It's not the fault of the actors, they are doing well, but it has weird cuts, dead space, and a boring OST. I'm not dropping yet but I hope it picks up. It's a shame to waste a good cast and concept like that.

I hate the fat suit but their scene together surprised me, Grace was compassionate and suddenly I got the vision that they are more alike than different, women who think their only value is in how they look

regardless of the drama, WHAT is up with those music choices?? a good drama can easily be ruined with questionable…
I like the background music because it's deliberately off-kilter, it's supposed to make you feel disturbed and uneasy. It fits the theme and characters.

I love this drama don't get me wrong. but episode 9 didn't feel the same giggles and emotions like the 8 episodes…
Yep, this was the weakest episode by far. I fast forwarded through a lot. It wasn't until the glamping scene that I got invested again.

Seon Jae had already written the song by this time. Thats why it didn't stop.
But she told him about the time travel and I think by the rules the show's established that should've frozen things.

I thought time stops if you talk about future? what happened? the rule doesn't apply when she is drunk or something?…
I was wondering the same thing. Seems like a pretty big plot hole.

I noticed it but I assumed it was on purpose to make her look more vulnerable

The convenience store scene laid me out, especially when the clerk did them a solid, the unsung hero of the episode

I wouldn't exactly call the mother an innocent victim either like some are framing this. Considering her wealth…
I was wondering the same thing, maybe she was afraid it would interfere with her dreaming

I'd be fun if DongHee and FL sister becomes friends at some point lol.
They are going to turn out to have a lot in common, the grifter mother didn't allow Dong Hee to eat dinner because she had to maintain her figure. Sort of opposite sides of the same coin of messed up eating.

Well the good old classic wrong character description of the FL caused this
What character description are you referencing? I went looking for one but the only thing I've seen is the plot synopsis that says she begins to live with them and change occurs.

Theory re: FL's effect on the family.(assuming you've watched up to E02)1. The FL probably was the little girl…
Damn this is such good theorizing, I love it

the FL hate in these comments is atrocious, y'all are wildin'. but hey, at least there's more traffic on the page.…
A lot of drama watchers can't handle a morally grey FL. Meanwhile they go crazy for straight up evil ML's.

In my opinion, the main character's family is also cheating. Their wealth isn't owed to work or fortunate circumstances,…
I agree and something I found especially chilling was when the grandmother's husband says she's interested in the FL because she has no family so no one to cause trouble if something happens to her (it seems like the Gwiju's in-laws continue to have suspicions about her death).

Nice to see Go Doo Shim as a rich and pretty ahjumma for once, not the usual halmeoni role. I love her style too.
I almost didn't recognize her
