In the Japanese adaptation Adachi plans a date for Kurosawa because he doesn't want their relationship to be so one-sided and he wants to make sure that Kurosawa enjoys their dates too. They have a lovely scene talking about it. This adaptation may have this scene eventually. I hope so because I think it's badly needed.
I was a little cooler on this episode than previous ones - I think sometimes when Thai dramas do comedies they…
I know GMMTV put in the necklace because they will have it for sale in their merch shop but if a dude gave me a charm in the shape of my own ear I'd be afraid he was going to drain my blood and wear my skin as a suit.
That whole date put me off Karan quite a bit especially because he planned the second date instead of telling Achi to take the lead on planning (asking his opinion wasn't enough for me). And yes I know it's almost straight from the manga but I still don't like it.
You are entitled to your opinion. For me, the Thai version is not a complete disaster (actually, most Thai series…
I like almost everything about the Thai version except for Achi but unfortunately that's a pretty big miss. For example, in this episode he wasn't the one who insisted on taking the motorcycle to the other airport, it was Pai who drove that figuratively and literally. His passivity bugs me. Also to me the confession was lacking. He didn't acknowledge all of the things Karan did for him over the years or apologize for hurting him with his thoughtless actions. Since everything else is working for me in this adaptation I'm still watching and enjoying a lot of it but Achi leaves me cold.

Nobody knows the details outside of GMMTV but an anime version of Cherry Magic just started airing and I suspect there may have been a conflict with the rights that they purchased versus the rights purchased by GMMTV. Regardless it's a huge fuck up, they're going to lose so much money from this
cmth you were doing so good... you are doing so good with jinta and min and rock and really most side characters....…
This episode made me outright dislike Achi for being so insensitive to Karan. I also thought Karan's jealousy made him less sympathetic and it felt like a fan servicey callback to Dark Blue Kiss. Also, the way they staged the confession is very odd, apart from it being in front of strangers why have Achi sitting in a boat ten feet away from Karan?
I love the second leads and the Pai-Rock ship that's about to sail but the main couple leaves me cold.
I'm not enjoying the second couple either, I guess I don't like Tsuge no matter what universe he's in lol. They…
I agree that the way they staged the confession scene was strange. Not just that Karan confessed in front of a bunch of strangers but also having Achi sitting in the boat lessened the impact of the moment.
So I know I'm going to get flack for this but I am still not enjoying New's performance. He's not bringing enough insecurity or vulnerability to the part. I don't feel like I'm rooting for him to get with Karan. This isn't all on the acting, the writing is also falling short. I just wonder if the Japanese thing of being an extreme introvert + less acceptance of same sex relationships doesn't translate well to Thailand. In this version Achi has friends, a supportive boss and coworkers, and a supportive family, so the impact of Karan in his life doesn't feel as huge as it did in the Japanese version.
As for everyone else, Tay is great as Karan being super slick on the outside, super simp on the inside. Jinta and Min are dramatically better/cuter than the second leads were in the Japanese version (and I'm enjoying them more than the main ship). Pai & Rock are adorable as well. They are very different from their Japanese counterparts who I liked a lot, but the changes are good and suit the story. So the rest is working but the central relationship is very meh for me.
