I was hoping SFL would be a nice addition to the cast but she's just delusional and has no boundaries with JH.…
I'm pretty sure she's violating multiple laws about ethical conduct and client-attorney privilege

I'm with you, I feel bad for him too. He has done some really crappy things but his motivations are understandable…
His mother has a substance abuse problem and he spent his childhood seeing her passed out in bed after drinking and taking pills. Also he was bullied by his older brothers and they threatened to harm his mother if he fought back. So as an adult he has trauma from his experiences that manifests in insomnia, flashbacks and substance abuse (the scene where he drinks and takes pills and then his manager says you haven't done this in awhile, meaning he does this regularly). He's also still dealing with feeling unloved as shown in the scene where his mother describes him as collateral and that's why the family wants him to get married to a chaebol daughter.

all hating the SML and me feeling bad for him when he has relapses (if it can be called that?)
I'm with you, I feel bad for him too. He has done some really crappy things but his motivations are understandable and he's obviously emotionally damaged from how he grew up just like Jiho and Sang Eun

I enjoy PMY's acting, but still feel disconnected with the FL character.. she tries not to be objectified but…
"she tries not to be objectified but then she also somehow allowed it.." this is what you would see with someone who grew up in an emotionally abusive situation like she did. She's strong in some ways but she hasn't learned how to stop trying to please people when that's what she was literally trained to do.

I find him very underused and he has little progression as a character. Writers should start to focus on his relationship…
I think he's had the appropriate amount of screen time given he's not one of the main leads but having said that he's about to get his own romance which is fantastic

Now that Ji Ho knows a little about her past, it seems like he's already decided to protect her (also that it…
You and I are watching the same drama. This in particular: "But, damn the way he treats Sang Eun. No wonder she likes him, because unlike anyone else (expect Gwang Nam of course) he puts her first." 😭😭😭 He is best boy

Yoo Mi Ho should sell a few more bags and move out, why Sang Eun and Gwang Nam let her move in is beyond me, after…
I agree with almost everything you said but Gwangnam is the best gay character in a mainstream k-drama I've ever seen. And the way the show depicts homophobia is really well done.

Yeah, the SML is the thirdiest of third wheels. At least the ex wife and the governess have an actual role to…
The purpose of the 2ML is to provide a contrast between the hollow fantasy of being pursued by a rich famous man versus being truly loved. I don't really think it's about just making complications for the plot, it's making a point about what really matters and how a lot of the romcom tropes are empty

I think there's more to Sang Eun's backstory. I think she got SA by Kang Hae Jin's brother. Just my hunch.
I've been speculating about this for awhile because she presents like someone who's been SA.

It's so frustrating. The writing is subpar to be honest. Is it justifiable to quit at the middle of episode 10?
I've quit dramas in episode 13 so I don't see why you should keep going if you hate it

I am loving this drama more than I had expected to like it first. I am so glad PMY made a comeback with this drama…
I agree with everything you said, really enjoying this drama and I feel like I understand the motivations of the three leads and even the ex wife who went through hell herself even if she didn't do right by Jiho.

I've had so much fun and I realize most people didn't. that's so odd!
I love the show but I don't think it's odd that people aren't enjoying it because underneath all the romcom trappings there's real pain, grief and loss. It's a deeply weird drama that doesn't meet expectations.
On Love in Contract Oct 20, 2022
I loved this episode. Come at me! This show is about damaged people who have no idea how to find love because they've never experienced it before and they are messily stumbling toward healing. Yeah it has romcom elements but it's not a romcom, it's a subversion of romcoms.

OK so hear me out y'all... I really want the manager Jung Hwan and Gwang Nam to be a thingy thing 👏 MAKE. IT.…
The show was telegraphing that like whoa with the wedding conversation about why the manager hasn't been dating and also how he ignored the woman trying to flirt with him.

Is this a will they, will they not type of drama? As in, is she stuck choosing between male leads for the whole…
In the first half she doesn't care for the 2ML at all. The show goes out of its way from the very first episode to show you that she's in love with the ML. It's not really a triangle at all except in the 2MLs mind. The real issue is that the leads are both traumatized and caring so much baggage from their upbringings that they are struggling to get together.
Replying to CARDI C Oct 18, 2022
Hmm not to sound rude but there are actually many kdramas atm that are better than this drama tbh and I'm saying…
This is very much not your average romcom. If it was you wouldn't have so many pissed off Park Min Young fans dragging this show for not serving up fluffy feels. I think the show has a lot of flaws but it's quite obviously subverting romcom tropes to tell a different story and that's what makes it so compelling.

It is more that one guy drags *himself* after her while she is having only one guy on the brain from the get go.…
It's one of the many many things that makes this drama so strange, you know from the first episode that the FL is in love with the ML and there is no triangle, just the writers messing with our expectations around triangles
