I had fun watching this but I could tell it was rushed, which is no surprise considering the manga is 17 volumes long. I imagine the manga must be a lot better and I hope I get the chance to read it someday.
It reminded me of Corpse Party (the original game, not the awful movie adaptation).
In typical BL fashion... you kill a kid... before you ask him his name. Really writers? How did he meet this kid…
The drama skipped a lot of things. He did advertise online that he had pills for a fast and painless death but he only found out the kid was a kid when they met. The idea was for them to commit double suicide. The kid didn't know the world was ending bc (in the manga) he went to meet Ritsu and take the pill the day before the news were released (or the day the news were released, but before he saw them).
I enjoy the manga despite its flaws, but this drama is awful.
In 2013 when it came out. lol I'm a fan of the manga so I watched all anime and live action adaptations. (except for the stage play bc I couldn't find it 3)
Me too! so many times I've started off liking him in a drama only to learn he is evil!
Right?? Like, I don't even mind the roles bc he does a great job but it's kinda sad that he makes me root for the rival even tho I know he'll lose. lmao
I've heard the counterpart of Techi's character (Aoi) in this version is very hated by the viewers in the Korean version. How is she like? Because I'm loving Aoi in this version... Is her Korean counterpart anything like her?
Untrue. There are good and bad live action adaptations based on manga/anime, we can't always know. But *this one*…
Oh, I haven't watched the YYH stage play, I was talking only about is visuals. If you google it you can see the characters look more like themselves than the ones from this drama. I think if you're gonna go for over-the-top visuals you should go all the way like AA and Jojo did.
Saint Seiya is gonna be a trainwreck for sure tho. lol There are some fictional works that simply do not work in certain kinds of media and Saint Seiya is definitely one not made for live action. lol

Another great season, even if this time it was only 2 episodes. Takashi Issey continues to do an amazing job as Rohan.

(the only other dramas with him I watched were The Spies Who Loved Me and The Game: Towards Zero btw)
