This makes no sense to me. Why is Mu Yu Mo the FL? It's supposed to be Bai He Huai. I haven't started watching…
Bai He Huai is the FL, Mu Yu Mo had a paltry 15 minutes total screen time so far and we're nearly half-way through the series. Tang Lian Yue and Mu Xue Wei have even less screen time than many of the other supporting characters....they've been onscreen all of 10 minutes... hopefully we'll get more Mu Yu Mo x Tang Lian Yue scenes in the coming episodes.
Just watched the trailer for episodes 20-21 - Zhao Yu Zhen (Cao Yu Chen) finally makes his guest appearance (along with the other Sword Deities), and he's all about his Li Han Yi~~~ Will he come down the mountain for the battle at Wushang City?
Omg, not only was Zhang Wei Na brought back as Li Han Yi, but also Li Ruo Jia as Li Xin Yue (the former Azure Dragon)! I'm on episode 14 and saw her make her entrance in her memorable red clothes~
I appreciate the production team for bringing back Bai Shu as Xiao Ruo Feng here. He never fails to deliver. He was the scene-stealer as Xiao Ling Chen (the brief appearances he had) in TBOY, then as Xiao Ruo Feng in Dashing Youth and now just as charismatic in Blood River as ever once again as Xiao Ruo Feng.
If the author had wrote a story with him as the protagonist, how the original Xuanwu Guardians came to support him, and how he commanded the Beili army as well as him teaching a young Xiao Chu He - that would have made an epic story turned drama with Bai Shu in the leading role. Sadly, we know his ending...
What?! No....they've turned one of my favourite wuxia dramas into a mini cdrama? I like Yu Xuan Chen enough, but I can't imagine anyone else as Xiao Se and Wu Xin except for Li Hongyi and Liu XueYi....or even Ao Rui Peng's Lei Wu Jie and Li Xin Ze as everyone's favourite 师兄.
Chang Hua Sen is killing it as Su Chang He!! He's such a scene stealer, kudos to him for making the anti-hero role so charismatic and cunning yet maniacal. Keeping his character Su Chang He separate from his hateful counterpart in The Blood of Youth...because he's just so darn likeable here~!
He's come a long way since 'A Journey to Love' and in such a few years, too~ Well done!
he is the current emperor's brother, he will have an heir, who appears in blood of youth. Also, the way the current…
The Blood of Youth (TBOY) got a 10/10 from me in 2023 whereas I had to drop Dashing Youth midway through last year.
I highly recommend it...but maybe hold off until you finish Blood River unless you don't mind being spoiled - FYI you will see future Su Mu Yu, Su Chang He and Mu Yu Mo in TBOY (as well as some of the familiar characters like Li Han Yi, Zhao Yu Zhen, Qi Tian Chen, Lei Yun, He etc).
Wasn't her Netflix debut in Alchemy of Souls? I love that she has a different role here but she does amazing in…
You aren't wrong, technically she did make her official Netflix debut with Alchemy of Souls~
This drama will mark her first leading role in a Netflix Oiginal kdrama whereas Alchemy of Souls was a TvN drama that sold its license to air on Netflix.
This was the one of the three part Fox Spirit Matchmaker series I was looking most forward to! So excited for this and most importantly for Cheng Yi to make a comeback after the negative comments he received on the recently aired The Journey. Plus Li Yi Tong, love her...'nuff said~
One more day! Can't wait~ I feel like it's been a while since I've watched Luo Yun Xi in a drama - the last one was with him and Song Yi (where he had face blindness and she was sort some of shapeshifter). Tang Lici brings Tantai Jin vibes somewhat~~
1) Dashing Youth
2) Blood River
3) The Blood of Youth
Though, TBOY came out first in 2022, then Dashing Youth last year, and now Blood River.
