What I like from ep 22 is that, despite everyone doubting JL, LJ's trust to his master remains unwavered 🥹…
That was my biggest worry during the body swap / struggle scene - I kept having this inkling feeling that who came out was YWH the demon and not LJ. Didn't want to voice it in case I was overthinking it.
But from the preview, it looks like the mark on LJ's forehead is the 3-flower mark of the demon hunter. Not sure what that indicates except that he is a really strong demon hunter of the Shilin Sect?
Just finished watching episode 16. I know everyone was worried about our two CPs, but here I was fretting over Li Jie and worried he wouldn't make it out of the Star Stone illusion. Whew~
Despite all that's still to be revealed, I just want to safeguard Li Jie (and also find out just who he actually is).
Pleasantly surprised by the reappearance of You Chi's father from out of nowhere, but also sad it was a final appearance.
Clicked on his profile after seeing his name on the cast of Combined Arms and thought in the thumbnail, he looked so much like Daniel Zhou Keyu. Lo and behold, he's his older brother~
Controversial characters always stay with you—good or bad, we all know that… but some villains don’t just…
Writing, direction, and performance~ Deng Kai also played a villian in The Blood of Youth, but whereas I just wanted to fast forward his scenes in TBoY, I couldn't help but replay some of his QM scenes (especially the ones with YQQ) here in PoJ.
What the....Deng Kai's original voice is just heavenly! And I couldn't recognize here in modern garb, almost mistaken him for Chen Xingxu / Wang Xingyue at first glance.
I didn’t get the joke when Changyu was talking about the princess’s name
'Ben Gong' (本宫) direct translation is 'This Palace' - is the term that female royal family members (Empresses, consorts, concubines, and princesses) refer to themselves in place of '我' - 'I'.
Similar to how emperors refer to themselves as 'Zhen' (朕), emperor's brothers 'Ben Wang' (本王), sons of the emperor/ emperor's brothers and kings 'Gu' (å¤).
At 39:40, Gongsun Yin calls 'Yan Zheng' by his courtesy name 'Jiuheng' - but then corrects himself, 'haven't seen you in a long time' ('ä¹… / Jiu' means long time) - hahahaha. Our poor Changyu didn't catch that, otherwise she would have know that her master's other disciple he wanted to matchmake her with is his 'Jiuheng'.
My only extremely minor gripe about it is like dude. stop trying to sell me on pork intestines. it's a revolting…
ML doesn't like them because he is a noble. Offals were consumed by the commoners. Those scenes were intentionally added to show the differences in their upbringings.

It's a Chinese drama first and foremost filmed for the Chinese public, regardless of the fact that it's aired internationally (but kudos that international viewers are able to enjoy these dramas). Offals are part of our culture. So that one-in-four or one-in-five comment you've made is more like three-in-four.
She will be in this season, right?

I am enjoying the addition of Xiao Ding here though.

It just didn't sit right with me that the person lumped their thoughts with 'most people'. Who are they to speak for others?
You have got to be kidding me....
