I highly recommend 'The Mystic Nine', William Chan completely and undoubtedly slayed the role of the awesome Zhang Qishan (Fo Ye), probably still his most unforgettable role to date.
Yea....and last year he married a junior former actress 11 years younger than him after he got her pregnant. Not 100% sure if she was one of three actresses that lived with him in the mountains.
I'm currently watching when destiny brings the demon with wang ying lu and it's the first time I watched her.…
I suggest watching 'I am Nobody' - her Feng Bao Bao is one of a kind! I cannot see anyone else in that role except for Wang Ying Lu. She was definitely the dark horse of that drama (and the drama itself being the dark horse when it aired). Highly recommend!
these cdrama emperors are either useless or evil or useless+scummy -_-
Then we have an emperor like Emperor Wen / Wen Di in 'Love Like the Galaxy' - probably the ML biggest fanboy and loved how he played matchmaker for the couple.
I can't wait until this is out. I very much enjoyed the TVB version in the late 90's (Dark Tales) and unfortunately never gotten around to watching the 2005-2007 adaptations as I was deep into Kdramas and Jdramas at the time.

No, that's not how it works. If the production team decides to use voice actors than the released product to whoever has the license (i.e. the network) to air the series will show that finished product with the voice actors' dubbing.
If the production team decides to use the original dialogue or have the original actors dub themselves, then the final product released will have the original actors' voices.

Sometimes they are added to the cast list, but not always - unfortunately, the voice actors often get overlooked. If you feel you've heard somebody's voice before, you've probably have and recognized the voice actor's voice. Well-known and sought after ones are Bian Jiang and Zhang Jie.
But there are also Chinese actors and actresses that often dub themselves: Luo Yunxi, Zhang Xincheng, Zhang Bin Bin, Wang Kai, Chen Feiyu, Tan Jianci, Yu Shu Xin, Zhao Jinmai, YangZi, and Tan Songyun.
And then we have Wang Hedi who is notorious for having a very prominent Sichuan accent so is often dubbed - but he's been taking voice lessons to improve his Beijing Mandarin diction so that he can dub himself in future projects. Love Between Fairy and Devil wouldn't be the same if he had dubbed himself as Dongfang Qingcang.
On the other spectrum, we have Jeremy Tsui who is often dubbed which is a travesty because he has such a beautiful deep voice.
Under cast and crew there is a re voice actors list for every role, what does it mean?
They're the voice actors who dubbed for the actors' role counterparts. This is done in many Chinese dramas to standardize accents (there are over 200 dialects in China) and bring down production costs (cheaper to dub the audio than to reshoot scenes).
Same, he was my favorite character in the book (such a steal scener even though he only had a smattering of appearances) so I was really looking forward to his drama appearance - short but piqued interest for sure. Well done drama!
I like this ML , dont remember seeing him in any of the dramas i watched FL and ML has a great chemistry and love…
Yes, Bi Wen Jun and Li YiTong were adorably fluffy in Warm on a Cold Night. Her howling like a wolf by the prison remains one of the funniest Cdrama scenes ever.
He also had sizzling off the chart chemistry with Jiang Pei Yao in I am Nobody. Sad they didn't return for season 2, but hopeful they'll be back for season 3. 🤞
Also recommend Sweet Teeth, another sweet fluffy drama.
He also sang the theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o-hRHuRiO0
