Title Mayonaka no Panya-san Spoiler
I usually don't give a damn about romance, but all I wanted was a Hiroki/Nozomi hug...
I know!! I was thinking the same thing, especially during the last episode. Maybe that's one reason why I feel this dramas was too short... with a little more time, they would surely get there!

Anyway, thanks for recommending this! :)

Just wanted to let people know that this show is very enjoyable. Definitely worth watching.
Thank you. Just reading the synopsis, I had my doubts... but if you say it's enjoyable, I'm going to give it a chance.

Never mind found it! XD
Yeah, one of the newly added! Thanks! :) I think I wanted to watch it because I was in the mood for something with a Christmas theme, I guess I'll just add it and wait a few months. :)

Hm. I did like Miura Haruma in Last Cinderella and Boku no ita jikan, but this does not sound like my cup of tea at all. Judging from the comments here, though, a lot of people seem to like this manga/anime. I haven't heard of it before. Tell me why it's interesting, what do you like about it?

Does anyone know where to watch this with English subs? The video linked by everchangingseasons below has been removed from YouTube. It is available on YouTube though but the subtitles are in a language I can't read.

Haha, why did I never see this until now? I'm glad I did! Miura Haruma would be a great Harry, haha. Even if some of the actors have the wrong age like some people have pointed out, they are still excellent choices, because at one point they were/will be the perfect age for this Japanese version that will never happen anyway. :) You must have had a lot of fun while doing this! (The only one I disagree with is Nakama Yukie as Minerva, I just can't see her like that... maybe because she's just too pretty.)

I didn't know there are Turkish remakes of k-dramas, how interesting. (Also interesting that the Turkish episodes…
I don't know, I still haven't watched Hanzawa Naoki... but maybe you're right! :)

I hope this will be subbed! It sounds like a nice drama. I like Nakama Yukie and I like Anne of Green Gables!

I didn't know there are Turkish remakes of k-dramas, how interesting. (Also interesting that the Turkish episodes are a lot longer and with more seasons.) Remakes happen sometimes when something from one country becomes popular in another, I always wonder why people aren't satisfied with the original version. (For example, some European movies are re-made in Hollywood.) It must be that there's the impression that an adaptation to another culture makes it easier to relate to. I haven't watched any of the dramas mentioned, but I can't even begin to imagine what a Swedish remake of a J-drama would be like (I think it's unlikely to happen!), it would surely be a little bit embarrassing and not as good as the original. *lol*

No worries, real life comes first. If you had been less busy and replied earlier, you'd have had to wait in your turn, because I just came home after a weekend with friends. I'm like yay, I have a real life, too! ;)

*lol* If I ever learn that much Japanese, I'll tell you! Actually, it IS my ultimate goal; I can real novels in English and French, so how hard can it be to learn just as much Japanese?! *sighs* I guess it's very hard because I had to learn languages in school, but now I have to make time for it.

So you haven't finished Bloody Monday, and here I thought everybody loved it to pieces. ;) I enjoyed it (8) but found it less amazing than what I was led to believe.

Ah, now I'm happy, you know Fanny Ardant! :)So few people that I know do. 8 Femmmes is one of my favorite movies and the first one I saw her in.

Thanks, I love it. :) I felt like my profile needed more smiles!

I am always fascinated by school dramas, because that's a setting that makes it very obvious how different Japan is from my country. It makes me want to learn and understand more things about the culture and society.
Compared to what you describe above, I think children in my country have it easy. We have two semesters, with a long summer break, and usually no homework during vacations, no uniforms or other dress codes, no entrance exams for anything, no cram schools, no tuition fees, few clubs, no grades until 6th grade (when I was in school, we got our first grades in 8th grade) and children aren't expected to read and write before 1st grade although some do. Kids start learning English in elementary school and a second foreign language in junior high; some learn more languages in high school. On the other hand, being a teacher is not a high status job and few people want to become one

today was graduation for my 3rd yr students. students, teachers and parents were all in tears. i'm so proud of…
It sounds like a fantastic thing to do. You get to experience living in Japan while also doing something useful. :) I would love to give that a try, but I don't think I'm qualified because English is not my first language.

This was fun!
Also, now I kind of want to watch My Girlfriend is a Gumiho... because of the picture with the spoon. That girl is so cute in that pic that it actually made me giggle when I saw it! :)

I sure hope so! A food/baking drama that doesn't make me crave this or that would be a little bit disappointing. ;)

Title Koi Spoiler
Wow that was intense. Totally sucked me in!
I see what you mean. It was a little bit "meh" to me (like, could it not have been something else? did it even have to be a "dark secret" in that sense, at all?), but I did not see it coming, it wasn't obvious to me... so I decided to just accept and like it. :)

*lol* Yes, I can understand that that sounds farfetched compared to Miura Haruma's role in Bloody Monday... but I think he really can act; I find myself believing in the characters that I've seen so far. (I'm watching Boku no ita jikan now, it's good.) But in the teacher drama with the long title, I think the chemistry with Toda Erika was lacking.

Well, it might not be that I fear people casting stones, as much as being somewhat in denial about actually liking this young guy, especially as he gets older! *lol* Logically speaking, I know it's not much to be embarrassed about because like you say, we all have our eye candy... but if this is like the definition of "my type": http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/88/71/81/887181db4769b6a359e2a44fcec20334.jpg then a guy ten years my junior seems pretty wild and crazy! ;)

I'm glad you liked Koi! I'm sure I overrated it but it just rubbed me the right way I guess.
I do see your point about Fuu-chan not seeming to regret the killing, and I agree that it wasn't the best thing for the sister. (I think the ending could have been more realistic in some ways.)
I think that I overlooked some flaws because I tried so hard to fill in the blanks myself, I mean that I was probably reacting in ways Fuu-chan didn't, like projecting what I was thinking rather than what was shown? What a biased reviewer that makes me *lol* In that sense, I might not have been able to fully relate to her either. I wasn't thinking this far when I wrote the review but yeah, I can see now that that's how it was!
I really wish I could read the novel; Fuu-chan might be more relatable that way, also I'm pretty sure some lesbian content was glossed over in the movie - just my hunch, though!
