Jag kanske var lite väl förblindad av "åh wow Arata!!" och "åh wow japanska!!!", jag vet inte. ;)

Aha, du är en berest person alltså! Önskar jag kunde säga det samma. Visserligen har jag varit i Frankrike flera gånger, men knappast en gång om året och bara i korta perioder, från fyra dagar till tre veckor. I Paris har jag varit flest gånger. Jag skulle gärna resa mer, men just nu är jag fattig student. Ser fram emot mitt första sommarlov som färdig lärare! :)

Maybe most MDL users are younger, so they're less likely to stalk the 30+ actors? Anyway, I'm glad to see so much Iura Arata appreciation in the comments, and I'm just as glad to see that I've piqued the interest of people previously unfamiliar with him!

I think he has played so many different kinds of characters in so many different kinds of stories that there's something for everybody in his filmography whether they're fans or not. :)

If you watch it, it'll be interesting to see how you feel about it. I read about your rating system on your profile, and you seem to have thought about it very thoroughly. :) My ratings are just all over the place, because when I was new to j-dramas, I was more easily impressionable, I think! ;)

It's true, he was in Air Doll! :) But no, he was not the one who had the doll. I don't remember exactly but I do think it took more than ten minutes before he showed up. I'm sorry, I don't remember where I watched it either! If I find it, I'll tell you.

Yeah... that's what people keep saying about Mitsu no aji... well, it might be true but I won't rewatch it, I'll just remember it like I watched it - through eyes blinded by love. ;)

I wanna see him more in anything, but I do like more serious dramas so I'd be happy to watch him in something like that again. I see that Kanata no ko was produced by WOWOW TV. I haven't seen any subs for it. :(

My classmates in my Japanese class who told me I should watch dramas and start with RMPW, they were going on and on about Oguri Shun and how much they liked his character. (When I watched it, I was almost disappointed at first that I didn't fall for the guy at all! Well, I think I can see why people like him, it's not that, it's just that he's not my type, I guess.) I thought I was the only one who liked Asahina more than Hyuga (that's not to say that I disliked him), you're the first one to agree with me on that.

That's one thing I like about him as an actor - kind of hard to believe this or that character are played by the same person. (Well, that's how acting should be, of course, but sometimes it's not like that!)

Yeah, I think a lot of people never made the connection - I probably wouldn't have, if I hadn't looked him up immediately after watching RMPW. Now that I think about it, that was how I found My Drama List - I was googling him, and found this! :)

No, not that much of a hardship! ;) (Well, I'll admit that watching Hanamizuki was not worth it for me. In the first draft for this article I actually included all the minor roles that I've been able to watch, just to let people know what to expect... but I was told I could write not more than 2000 words. Even without mentioning all the minor characters, it's actually more than that...)

Ping Pong was a wonderful surprise for me. I was thinking: "A movie about table tennis; how fun can it be? I'll watch something else first..." When I finally watched it, I realized that I would have loved it even without being a crazy fangirl! ;)
